BRITISH MUSLIM GIRLS FORCED INTO MARRIAGE

Abigail Esman wrote on Big Peace about the cases of Muslim girls in the UK who've been forced into marriages, many of whom are underage, and how it's the fault of British multiculturalists:

For years, such marriages were organized in large part to bring the grooms and their families to the West, says Sameem Ali, author of Belonging, a memoir of her own forced marriage. And according to ABC, "Sometimes girls do not return to Britain until they are pregnant, the theory being that this may assist the process by which the husband seeks residency in the United Kingdom."

But as the immigrant population grows, more and more forced marriages are even taking place in British mosques--despite British laws prohibiting marriage below the age of 16. Soeren Kern, an analyst with the Gatestone Institute, recently described a situation in which one Muslim cleric, officiating at the forced marriage of a 14-year-old, declared, "She's 14. By Sharia, grace of God, she's legal to get married. Obviously Islam has made it easy for us. There is nothing against that. We're doing it because it's okay through Islam."

But if the problem lies within the immigrant community, Ali also blames the British, and specifically, the multiculturalists who, she says, are "afraid to tread on the toes" of the Muslim community. "I keep seeing professionals who say 'it's a cultural issue, why are we imposing our cultural values on this community?'" she tells me. "But that young girl is being forced into marriage, and that young girl needs help." Rather than focus on the religious or cultural aspect of these marriages, says Ali, "they should be attacking it for what it is: a child abuse issue."

But not enough will, if at all. The UK sold out to this mishmash long ago, and reaped what it's sown.

LEFT WING PARTY IN DENMARK WANTS TO LEGALISE INCEST,

The Unity Party (Enhedslisten) wants to legalise incest between siblings.  The argument for decriminalizing sex among siblings is that prohibition is based on a fear of genetic defects...claimed to be 8-10%.  They point out that people with existing genetic conditions can have sex and procreate, despite the fact that there is often a 50 % risk of passing on their genetic disorder.  Therefore they believe everybody should be allowed to have sex with whomever they choose because the government has no role to play here.

First of all, I would like to point out that it is frightfully ironic that these extreme leftists want the government to be non existent as far as sex and drugs are concerned but when it comes to the most pervasive aspect of our social interaction - the economy - they want the government to seize the means of production and co-opt the entire system.

But let us return to genetic arguments vis a vis incestual relationships.  Logically, Enhedslisten could offer a compromise law, where incestual sex would be legal, if one employed contraceptives! The taboo against incestual relations is not just a result of the fear of possible genetic defects, (I would argue that the genetic issue is a rationalization of an existing taboo) but the result of the understanding that sex among family members is dysfunctional. Therefore, promoting incest should be seen in the context of the LEFTS DESIRE TO DESTROY THE TRADITIONAL FAMILY.

I have read some humorous comments to this proposal.  One reader asked if "mom and dad could watch while big brother nailed his little sister?"  But Enhedslisten is not a small group of perverts. They received 10% of the vote in Copenhagen in the communal elections held earlier this week...

PLO SETS UP ILLEGAL OUTPOSTS BY MAALEH ADUMIM

The result from weakness by Netanyahu:

After the US pressured the Israeli government to stop building in the E1 region, between Maaleh Adummim and Jerusalem, new pictures reveal that the Palestinian Arabs have sped up their own illegal outposts - to settle there and establish facts on the ground before Israel's Jewish population can beat them to it.

The investigation of Regavim movement indicates that hundreds of portable structures have already been built around Ma'ale Adummim and Highway 1, which extends all the way to the Dead Sea. The buildings are made of metal plates, allowing rapid construction as the Palestinian Arabs generally operate on weekends, when the Supervisory Unit of the Civil Administration is on leave.

At first, the Palestinian Authority kept the buildings under black tarps, to prevent photos being taken and establishing proof of illegal building. Over time, these tarps have disappeared - revealing even more buildings in their wake. All of the buildings are in Area C - the area exclusively under Israeli control.

While the Regavim movement has asked the government several times to intervene, no action has yet been taken. The Civil Administration has reportedly posted signs forbidding the building - but that is all.

Once again, I'm finding it hard to see why anybody should consider Netanyahu worth supporting if his government can't do anything about this and fails to fulfill an important pledge to the nation.

The singer Freddie Aguilar must be seeking ways to justify his affair with a minor:

BULUAN, Maguindanao – Folksinger Freddie Aguilar will wed his 16-year old girlfriend under Islamic rites here 3 p.m. Friday.

[...] Aguilar, whose star has waned, was thrown into the limelight anew when he broke the news about his minor-girlfriend.

He was widely criticized as a child exploiter and was even sued before a court for taking a minor as a girlfriend.

But an earlier tabloid report said Aguilar had agreed to convert into Islam, which allows such union.

So now it's clear. He did all this in order to justify taking advantage of a minor. And the courts will presumably succumb to this pathetic act and not enforce the law. And the girlfriend herself must be really nuts to be willing to wed him no matter what. I feel sorry for her more than him.

Now, here's the revelation of 3 women in the UK who were held prisoner for 3 decades in a London house, but who were their enslavers? Two clues come up:

Mystery surrounds much of the story so far. However, one woman is a Malaysian, aged 69; the Irish woman is said to be 57, along with a 30 year old British woman “who has never known freedom”, the Metropolitan Police said today,.

Does Malaysia suggest something? It is a largely Muslim-dominated country, after all, and many Muslim countries have had residents who went to work as slaves abroad for Muslim masters. Speaking of which:

The arrested couple are not British nationals, though no more information is yet on offer. They were considered as “the heads of the family” and the women were “absolutely terrified” of them.

She added: “They felt they were in massive danger.

Facinating...and disturbing. And the authorities so far are keeping this hidden from view? Where could the couple they speak of come from?

We may get confirmation soon, but for now, it's as galling as can be that they haven't let us know said enslaving couple's nationality or religion. I hope the victims are okay, and will be able to recover from the terrible ordeal they went through all these years.

"We gave land, they fired rockets into Israel," he explained, in reference to the 2005 "Disengagement Plan", in which Gaza's 21 Jewish communities were expelled, along with 4 in northern Samaria (Shomron). Far from achieving security for Israel's southern population centers, the pullout resulted in an increase in deadly rocket attacks against neighboring Israeli towns and villages, and required the IDF to mount two separate counterterrorism operations, in 2009 and 2012.

NYC's BEST HOSPITALS WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY OBAMACARE EXHANGE PATIENTS

New Yorkers buying a health plan on the state’s new insurance exchange should read the fine print if they’re interested in getting care at some of the city’s top hospitals. 

Not all are participating in the new plans created by the Affordable Care Act. 

As of this week, not one of the plans for sale on New York’s health benefit exchange would cover treatment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, one of the world’s largest and most respected cancer hospitals.

That could mean that the 615,000 individuals and 450,000 small business employees expected to eventually get their insurance through the exchange would have to go someplace else for treatment, or pay the bill out of their own pockets. 

Other premier city hospitals are in the networks of just a few of the new plans. 

NYU Langone Medical Center has signed agreements with four of the 19 insurers doing business on the exchange. 

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, which oversees the city’s biggest hospital system, has signed agreements with six insurers. 

President Obama promised when the Affordable Care Act was enacted that people who liked their doctors could keep them, but the reality of the law both in New York and around the country is that the new, lower-cost policies it is creating sometimes have smaller provider networks than Medicare, Medicaid, or the plans people typically get through their employers.

GUNMAN AT FRENCH LEFT-WING NEWSPAPER OFFICE TURNS OUT TO BE MUSLIM

Surprise, surprise. Something that wasn't clear before has just been made so, and these days it figures who it could've been:

France on Thursday named a man arrested over dramatic shootings in Paris this week as Abdelhakim Dekhar, previously jailed for his role in a "Bonnie-and-Clyde" style murder spree, and said his DNA matched samples from the scene of the attacks.

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday after a major manhunt following Monday's shooting at left-wing newspaper Liberation, which critically wounded a photographer, and a subsequent shooting outside the offices of bank Societe Generale. [...]

Dekhar was convicted in 1998 of buying a gun used in the 1994 shooting attacks by student Florence Rey and her lover Audry Maupin, in which three policemen and a taxi driver were killed.

The AFP/Expatica say his motivations were not known. But we can guess them here and now, that it might've been politically motivated, and it shows that even leftists are not safe from jihadism.

Liberals love Apple and they hate Wal-Mart.

So let's look at some statistics about Wal-Mart vs. Apple.

Wal-Mart has revenue of $444 billion and employs 2.1 million people. Two-thirds of them in the United States.

Apple on the other hand, has revenue of $156 billion and employs 80,000 people, only 50,000 of whom are in the United States.

• Apple's 2012 profits were $55 billion. So, over one-third of Apple's revenue are profits. That's 35.3%.

• Wal-Mart's 2012 profits were $15.7 billion. That means just 3.5% of Wal-Mart's revenues are profits.

• Apple makes a profit of $697,000 per employee.

• Wal-Mart makes a profit of $13,000 per employee.

• Wal-Mart employs 26.25 times as many people as Apple, on just 3 times the revenue.

So, which corporation benefits America more?

Being a Libertarian, I would say the answer is not so easy.

But given the fact that Liberals believe corporations exist to provide jobs, and not for the profits of Shareholders, well then obviously Liberals OUGHT to love Wal-Mart more.

But they don't, because when it comes right down to it, Liberals are just snobs. Apple produces a smart, hip product, and Wal-Mart, well, you know, Liberals love to make fun the "people of Wal-Mart" - who just happen to be our fellow Americans, of course.

LEV TAHOR, A HAREDI CULT THAT TAKES CUES FROM ISLAM

The Times of Israel reported that members of Lev Tahor, an Islamic-like cult of Haredi background, tried to flee their homes in Quebec to go as far as Iran:

Long dogged by accusations of severe child abuse and neglect, the 40 families of insular hassidic group Lev Tahor fled their homes Tuesday in Ste. Agathe, Quebec, fearing imminent removal of the children by Canadian welfare authorities.

According to Oded Twik, an Israeli whose sister and eight children have lived with Lev Tahor for the last eight years, the Israeli Foreign Ministry and police worked through the night Tuesday to get information about the safety of the children.

About 200 people traveled in three hired buses to Ontario, where they rented a small number of hotel rooms. “The Canadian police have confirmed that the group planned to go to Iran,” said Twik.

Lev Tahor is led by charismatic convicted kidnapper Shlomo Helbrans. The group, mainly native Israelis and their Canadian-born children, lived in the resort town of Ste. Agathe-du-Mont, Quebec. Only five members have legal status in Canada and the children do not hold passports. [...]

In 1990, after an Israeli investigation for ties with what was then the Islamic Movement in Israel, Helbrans fled to the United States with about 20 followers.

In 1994 Helbrans was imprisoned for two years in the US for kidnapping Shai Fima, whose secular parents had sent him to Helbrans for bar mitzvah lessons.

Post-release, Helbrans and his followers moved to Ste. Agathe, about 100 kilometers north of Montreal. There, Helbrans successfully petitioned the Canadian government for refugee status, claiming persecution in Israel for his anti-Zionist opinions.

Oded Twik has urged the Canadian authorities to remove all 137 children from the community. Dozens of family members and supporters attended a demonstration outside the Canadian Embassy in Tel Aviv on October 14. Many family members have not communicated with their relatives for eight years.[...]

Members who have left the group described a diet of dough, goose eggs and goat’s milk, but no fruits and vegetable. There are regular beatings, long prayers, and for the girls, dark clothing covering all but the face, and household servitude. Children, including babies and toddlers, are removed from their parents to live with other families, often repeatedly. Girls are routinely married off at 14, in some cases to men more than twice their age.

This is exactly what's dangerous about cults, and this one is led by a cretin who's just as bad as Neturei Karta. And some of the customs they go by are clearly influenced by Islam, such as the tent-clothes and underaged marriages. They may be the same cult that's turned up places like Beit Shemesh, and are certainly dangerous. If the authorities have stopped them from leaving, they must remove the children from their clutches immediately.

UN DUPLICITY AGAINST ISRAEL

Anne Bayefsky wrote about how, as Ban Ki-Moon supposedly pays his condolences to Jewish Holocaust victims, the UN he's in charge of does quite the opposite:

On Friday, November 15, 2013, an official UN-accredited Jewish non-governmental organization had its security clearance to attend an open UN meeting in New York revoked at the behest of the UN Division for Palestinian Rights.

The group of 18 Birthright Israel alumni had been invited to witness the annual offensive “UN Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People” by the UN-accredited Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust.

The annual event marks the anniversary of November 29, 1947, the day that the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution which partitioned Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab state. It was a resolution accepted by Jews and rejected across the Arab world.

It was also a day celebrated by the victims of the Nazis and the Jewish people in their ancient homeland and around the world.

But not by the modern United Nations. Former secretary-general Kofi Annan characterized it as “a day of mourning and a day of grief,” and every year under UN auspices, member states and NGOs gather to mourn the creation of the Jewish state.

The man who had a hand in the oil-for-food scandal apparently sides with the propagandists who push the myth of "al-nakba". I'm guessing he and they don't care about Armenian victims of the Ottoman empire, by contrast. I really don't see why anybody with common sense should waste their time at the UN cesspool. It's badly in need of a good bowl cleaner.
