[Message to American parents from BNI: Your children may be subjected to the same kind of Islamic brainwashing in their schools. Make sure you know what/if they are teaching them about Islam and raise Hell with the school board at any hints of Islamic indoctrination. NYTIMES: Euro Zone Looks Abroad to Get Support for Bailout

Struggling to assemble a credible backstop for their troubled single currency, European Union leaders on Sunday reached out for wider international support for their bailout fund by seeking investment from non-European countries or the International Monetary Fund.

Officials of the 27 nations in the European Union chalked up one victory from lengthy weekend meetings in Brussels, striking a deal to recapitalize the sickly European banking sector. Despite some resistance, agreement seemed close on a plan worth around 100 billion euros, or $138 billion, to recapitalize banks.

But as of Sunday night, officials still had no definitive answer on how they would expand the euro rescue fund, the European Financial Stability Facility — though one official said they were aiming for €750 billion to €1.25 trillion, or $1 trillion to $1.7 trillion. It is currently $600 billion or €440 billion.

Obama and his comrades on the Left are fond of blaming Bush.

They blame him for driving the economy into a ditch.

The two chief reasons they clam our economy ended up in a ditch are (1) "Bush's un-funded wars" in Afghanistan and Iraq, and (2) the Bush Tax Cuts.

These explanations are false. Blame-shifting PROPAGANDA. (More on their guilt later.)

(1) The wars did not cost as much as TARP and bailing out Fannie Mae and GM and Chrysler and Obamacare and the co-called "Stimulus".

(2) The highest amount of revenue EVER received by the feds was in 2007 - with the same tax rates we have now. We are getting less revenue now with the same rates because the economy sucks. We don't need higher rates; we need the economy to grow.

Another level of proof that "Bush's un-funded wars" are not to blame is available by examining the European Debt Crisis. None of the European nations in cries spent anywhere what we did on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. (HECK: I betchya they barely spend a penny for every dollar we spend on defense in general!)

Yet despite not spending money in these 2 wars, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Italy and Belgium are all in deep doo-doo. (And the stench is making the Germans and the French sick!)

How is it that these nations are in economic trouble and have a sovereign debt crisis?

COULD IT BE THE SOCIAL SPENDING!?

Yes. That's EXACTLY what caused it: the governments spent too much dang money!

Which is what is causing the problem here.

47% of Americans pay no income tax and only pay 7.65% social security/medicaid tax.

Cain's plan raises this to 9%.

That's a tax increase of 1.35%. To 47% of Americans. Those on the bottom.

On top of this, these taxpayers would have to pay another 9% on everything they buy.

Most of these taxpayers are already living paycheck-to-paycheck; therefore Cain's 9-9-9 plan would put them in the hole - if not bankrupt them,

Now... weeks after introducing his plan, Cain admits he knows it sucks and is tweaking it with empowerment zones and all sorts of exemptions for this an exemptions for that.

IOW: To make his idiotic 9-9-9 plan more palatable, Cain is picking winners and loses - just like those he claims he opposes.

THE BOTTOM-LINE ON 9-9-9: it was a lousy plan that was poorly thought out and in the end only proved Cain ain't ready for prime-time.

Conservatives who deny this are humoring Cain and pandering.

Cain has sometimes appeared to be in over his head. Consider what's happened over the past week:

--He suggested electrifying a fence along the U.S. border with Mexico to kill illegal immigrants trying to enter the United States. Cain later called it a joke and apologized if anyone was offended by the remarks.

--He said he would negotiate for the release of U.S. prisoners held by terrorists, then reversed himself and said he had misunderstood the question.

--He muddied the water on abortion. He told CNN that while he strongly opposes abortion, "the government shouldn't be trying to tell people everything to do, especially when it comes to social decisions that they need to make." He later issued a statement reiterating his opposition to abortion.

--Amid criticism that his 9-9-9 tax overhaul would force the majority of Americans to pay more to the government, he reworked the plan to exclude the poorest people and to allow some deductions. Backers of Cain's original plan had praised its simplicity, and carving out exceptions could erode that support.
