An angry mob attacked a group of mainly Christian protesters demanding drastic measures to heal religious tension amid a spike in violence, leaving 65 people injured, officials said Sunday.

The Christian protesters have been holding their sit-in outside the state television building in Cairo for nearly a week following deadly Christian-Muslim clashes that left a church burned and 15 people dead.

More than 100 people rushed into the sit-in area, lobbing rocks and fire bombs from an overpass and charging toward the few hundred protesters sleeping in the area. Vehicles were set on fire and fires burned in the middle of the street.

Three Port Authority detectives pulled Dominique Strauss-Kahn from the plane’s first-class cabin just two minutes before it was due to depart for Paris, the sources said.

The City of Chicago must hire 111 black firefighter applicants who were passed over for jobs years ago and pay tens of millions of dollars in damages to about 6,000 other black candidates under a ruling issued on Friday by a federal appeals court.

The decision from the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit is only the latest in a legal battle that began with a written employment test for firefighters more than a decade ago, wound its way to the United States Supreme Court by last year and remains a matter of division and concern among the city’s firefighters.

“For some of the people involved, this is a very emotional moment,” said Joshua Karsh, a lawyer who represented black applicants who accused the city of employment discrimination. “The city could have cleared this up a long time ago.”

In 1995, 26,000 people took an employment test to become firefighters.

The city said anyone who had scored above 65 was considered “qualified,” but chose its initial hires from random sets among candidates who scored 89 or better, a group it deemed “highly qualified,” court documents say.

But after complaints were filed, the city conceded that the 89-point cutoff created a “disparate impact” against black candidates — 6,000 of whom had gotten qualified scores — compared with white candidates, the documents show.

Two men who the authorities said intended to carry out a terrorist attack in New York City were arrested late Wednesday, two law enforcement officials said.

The Arab League and the UN aren't doing a damn thing to stop it.

And - under Obama's leadership - the free world does nothing.

Sickening.

MULTI-CULTURALISM IS CULTURAL SUICIDE, AND UNBRIDLED IMMIGRATION WITHOUT ASSIMILATION IS CULTURAL SUICIDE, TOO

We have an incredibly successful culture - up to know. Compared to most nations, we are freer and richer and more secure.

Our Judeo-Christian values, and Protestant work ethic, and our democratic constitutional system of government based on Natural Law all work together, empowering us toward ever more prosperity and security.

That's why the USA is such a damn great place to live. The people who first came here and those who followed weren't genetically or racially superior, but they were all willing to adapt their own cultures to the dominant American culture. In other words, ASSIMILATE.

TRUE: from 1600 to 1950, most were from pretty successful cultures.

That is until the 1960's and the beginning of the mutli-culturalist era. An era we still struggle in. That was when bi-lingual education took hold and when the ersatz man-made holiday Kwanza (an attempt to create a racially-based version of Christmas) first started to take hold and when the New Left - the postmodern left - started to take over the educational system from K-12 through grad school.

And as a result, immigrants began to assimilate less. We went from idealizing the MELTING POT to aggrandizing the MULTICULTURAL MOSAIC.

As a result our culture is disintegrating and our society is disintegrating, too.

So it's INSANE to allow or encourage any more immigration until we have eradicated the multicultural myth and strengthened the institutions that foster assimilation. France has admitted that the failure to integrate and assimilate Arabs has allowed recent generations of Arabs born there to become radicalized. The same can happen here. Unless we fight back.

We have to demand no amnesty and we have to demand the wall on our border is completed.

We have to demand an end to bilingual education. We have to demand the end of "Press 1 for English". We have to demand an end to multi-lingual election instructions on driver license tests and the like. We have to make English the OFFICIAL language of the USA and demand ALL governmental paperwork be done in English only.

If we don't start taking a hard line on assimilation, we shall descend ever more rapidly into the depths of disintegration and decadence.

LOOK AT IT THIS WAY:

Having just completed building a gorgeous and expensive new home, would you let anyone move in with you or even rent it to anyone? Of course not.

If you bought a fabulous yacht, would you let anyone captain and crew for you - or would you do your due diligence?

It's the same with our Nation and our culture:

IF WE LET TOO MANY PEOPLE INTO THE USA WHO ARE FROM FAILED NATIONS AND FAILED CULTURES - AND IF WE FAIL TO ASSIMILATE THE ONES WE LET IN - THEN WE WILL BECOME A FAILED CULTURE TOO. The mosaic will become dominated by these failed cultures.

This isn't racial. To coin a phrase: "It's the culture, stupid!"

We will no longer remain an exceptional and indispensable nation if we are multi-culturally mongrelized into an agglomeration of the Earths failed cultures.

To prevent this we must control our borders, and demand assimilation in our schools and public institutions.

Politicians who demur from supporting these essential steps should be thrown out of office.

ABOUT GNEIVAT DA'AT (DECEIT)

A most surprising story just came up, of the Hasidic newspaper Der Tzitung, one of these semi-Yiddish language papers in the US, photoshopping Hilary Clinton out of the widely publicized picture of the White House staff watching a video of the raid on bin Laden's hideout, because it's supposedly too sexy just to have a woman in the picture at all (via Doug Powers). This in spite of the fact that Hilary and the female staffer at the back were far from skimpily dressed.

This is fairly common in some Hasidic publications, and in Israel, there's at least 3 papers likely to do that, though the stark difference between them and many Islamists is that Hasidics know why it pays to respect women's rights up front. That said, this photoshopping all for the sake of absurdist modesty notions is definitely foolish, and something that they're going to have to start considering a change for.

In fact, as Rabbi Jason Miller at the Jewish Week says:

Der Tzitung edited Hillary Clinton out of the photo, thereby changing history. To my mind, this act of censorship is actually a violation of the Jewish legal principle of g'neivat da'at (deceit). I wrote about this subject a year ago following the Flotilla debacle in Israeli waters outside Gaza when the Reuters news agency doctored photos that it published by removing weapons from individuals aboard the Mavi Marmara. The doctoring of photographs like this is referred to as "Fauxtograpphing." I'm curious to hear how Der Tzitung responds to its attempt to remove Hillary Clinton from this iconic photo and thereby from this historic event.

Much as I can't stand Hilary any more than the next person with common sense, I must concur that this is ridiculous to think that a woman's presence in a picture like this constitutes any kind of moral wrong. I honestly do think a change is going to be needed in the beliefs as conducted by the rabbinical board in charge of papers like these. To their credit, Der Tzitung's editorial did apologize for the alterations. Maybe this could encourage a much needed discussion of how to better the beliefs and conduct on what the Hasidic community considers ideal for how to run press outlets like these.

With that told, maybe now we can turn our attention back to whether Islamic-dominated press outlets do any censorship like this, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do, only worse. When it comes to the Islamofascists, I'd think it's even more concerning.

Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt: Brotherhood and Salafists to form election coalition

Today Egyptian daily Al Masry Al Youm reports that the Muslim Brotherhood has announced plans to form a coalition in parliament ‘in order to combat the secular political forces in the country.’ ‘Muslim leaders: We want an Islamic state’, explains:
‘A number of religious leaders representing Muslim movements have announce [sic] that the recent cooperation between various religious trends points to a common desire for a religious state that applies God’s laws.’
This move contradicts a current tendency in the British media to emphasise distance between the two Islamic movements. Muslim Brotherhood Member Sobhi Saleh is quoted, saying that ‘recent attacks on the Islamic groups brought us together’. Muslim Brotherhood lawyer Montasser al-Zayat said:

European Members of Parliament join IHH Terrorists on New Gaza Flotilla.

European Members of Parliament at Strasbourg will be joining the terrorists from IHH on the latest flotilla of hate.

Ran Curiel, Israel's ambassador to the European Union, charged Tuesday in a news conference in Strasbourg that a new attempt to breach Israel's maritime blockade of Gaza is a "clear political provocation."

Activists organizing the new convoy said earlier in the day at a news conference in Strasbourg that aboard the vessels will be European Union parliamentarians.

The organizers claimed the status of the lawmakers would "protect" the other activists aboard the vessels from IDF troops who might try to redirect or otherwise stop the ships from reaching Gaza.Huseyin Oruc from the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), a Turkish NGO, said: "There will be many MPs on board. I don't think Israel will attack us.

“In our view, the flotilla is clearly a political provocation... since there's no need for a flotilla to aid Gaza,” he said. “You can pass whatever you want to Gaza through normal channels.” More here.In this blatantly anti-Israel post from the EU Observer:

The organisers of a second flotilla aiming to break Israel's siege on Gaza are seeking EU diplomatic protection after Israeli commandos killed nine people and injured 52 during their first trip in 2010.

NGOs behind the project also expect several MPs from EU countries and MEPs from Brussels to join them when they set sail in late May.

"The EU has been saying for a long time that the blockade is against international law. It has the means to apply economic pressure, to cancel its economic agreement with Israel. If they are serious about their position, they could send such a message. This would be a really good move," she explained.
