After the election, he seemed like he was ready to accept the will of the people and he began to compromise.
The markets went up at a very improved rate and so did Obama's own popularity levels in the polls - from the compromise with the House GOP until June when he started battling the House GOP again and walking away from any new compromises.
WHY WOULD OBAMA STOP COMPROMISING WITH THE GOP AND RETURN TO LESS POPULAR POLICIES WHICH NOT ONLY HURT THE MARKETS, AND HURT EMPLOYMENT BUT ALSO HURT HIS OWN POPULARITY???????There can be only one reasonable answer:
Since June, Obama and his comrades have believed that the economy would NOT be good enough by election time 2012 for him to be re-elected; therefore they are trying to TRANSFORM as much of the USA into a euro-socialist state and economy - and to reward as many of their crooked cronies in the unions and the Machine as they can - while they can.
NOTE:
Lincoln did a similar thing at the end of if first term - when it looked like he would lose to the Democrat Party's "peace candidate" George McClellan (who was wiling to let the rebel south keep slavery!). In the middle of summer of 1864 - when the war was going badly, Lincoln called his war cabinet together and ordered them to pull out all the stops and do whatever they could to defeat the rebel south by March - when McClellan, he felt, would be inaugurated. A victory wpould make McClellan's pro-slavery stand moot. The assault was begun and the Union started winning the war and Lincoln's popularity rebounded and he won re-election.
Lincoln's desperation served a noble cause. Obama's desperation serves a discredited evil elitist ideology that's responsible for more death and serfdom in the 20th century than anything else.
We have to fight Obama and his corrupt leftist cronies at every turn in order to make sure we survive to the next president is inaugurated in 2013, and he saves the USA.

I've come to a similar conclusion a while back,only thing different is i don't know if he will give up on the presidency or will go for dictatorship in two years ,he can do an awfull lot of damage in another two years.
