The distinction natural born vs. naturalized citizen is important. I dont think the authors of the Constitution were concerned about Ceasarians or Epidurals! Thy wanted ensure absolute loyalty. Obama has some weakness here - his campaign would otherwise have produced the necessary documentation and put the argument to rest.
I believe that the case has merit based on its request for disclosure of records. Here's why:
It has been the responsibility of the press to properly examine and vet Senator Obama. He does not have to pass a National Security Clearance, like an employee of the State Department or a member of the military does. This is because he is an "elected official".
All Americans, including Obama supporters have assumed these types of clearances occur, that the FBI and other agencies do this. This does not happen.
Since the press, which is the "investigator" in a free electorate did not do their job, it was left to citizen journalists to do so. Hence we have a court case, and Obama, asking for dismissal, rather than present rather mundane records..
Finally Obama has managed to throw others off of ballots through the use of the technicality argument.
Any student of Kung Fu, will tell you that quite often an opponent strikes others from the place of his own weakness. We shall see.
