I AM AN OPTIMIST:
I feel that once the Iraq War has been CLEARLY WON and with AQ clearly in retreat, with AGW CLEARLY DISPROVED and with the economy clearly doing well, that the Left will have no where to go - or to hide.
I feel that once the Iraq War has been CLEARLY WON and with AQ clearly in retreat, with AGW CLEARLY DISPROVED and with the economy clearly doing well, that the Left will have no where to go - or to hide.
These outcomes will become inescapably clear by next summer.
And then, the entire foundation and thrust of the Left's attack on the Right will vaporize.
As in 1865 after Gettysburg.
Ultimately, truth always beats lies.
And tomorrow always beats yesterday.

I'm an optimist too so it does my heart good to hear you say all of this!!
You are one of a scant few who is willing to predict the end of the Iraq War.
Your next step should be to have a back-up plan if your prediction goes South.
Some Advice: "more of the same" hasn't been cutting it for the past four years.
DAVID - U R WRONG, AS USUAL!
TALABANI AND PELOSI BOTH AGREE.
THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE TAKE ALL THE TROOPS OUT.
BUT BY THE END OF NEXT YEAR WE MIGHT TAKE HALF OUT.
AS "FOR MORE OF THE SAME" AND THE 4 YEARS COMMENT: THAT'S IDIOTIC BS:
WE HAVE NEW STRATEGIES IN PLACE FOR SIX MONTHS.
I WANT MORE OF THAT AND THEN SOME!
WE MUST STAY ON THE OFFENSIVE EVERYWHERE.
