SOME PERSPECTIVE ON "INSURGENCIES" AND THE DEMOCRAT PARTY

For three years the Left and the MSM they dominate - have relentlessly harangued to public with propaganda about Iraq; this is typified by their constantly calling the jihadoterrorism there (which is almost exclusively perpetrated by "al Qaeda in Iraq") an "insurgency".

Sri Lanka has had an "insurgency" for 25 years - about 3000 people are killed each year by it, on average. Yet no one calls Sri lanka a failed state - a land of chaos and despair OR A QUAGMIRTE because of this persistent violence.

And, Thailand suffers from a jihadoterrorist attack every third day, on average - but no one calls Thailand a failed state.

So why does the Left - and the MSM and Democrat Party and EU/UN-elite they dominate - treat Iraq as if it was a failed state or a phony democracy!?

It's simply bullshit.

People who REALLY support human rights for ALL humans - as Lincoln, WIlson, FDR, Eleanor Roosevelt and JFK did - should be whole-heartedly supporting Bush and the US military's efforts in Iraq and the Iraqi's constitutionally elected democratic unity government .

That the Left does not support our efforts there - and instead says that Iraq's a quagmire, and that we are failing in Irq and that we should withdraw - says more about THEM and THEIR BIASES and their HYPOCITICAL, VAPID and USELESS IDEOLOGY than it does about the war in Iraq.

The doves of the Democrat Party suspended financing for the emerging democracy of South Vietnam in 1975 - and it fell soon after --- A FULL TWO YEARS AFTER THE LAST USA COMBAT TROOPS HAD RETURNED TO THE USA.

Given the chance, the Democrat Party would do the same thing to Iraq: abandon them to terrorists and tyrnanny.

If the public votes in a Democrat majority into the House this fall, then Speaker Pelosi will lead her majority in avote to abandon the Iraqis - and allow al Qaeda to set up shop there.

This is why the most important battle in the war against global jiahd is the poltical battle right here in the USA.

IT'S SIMPLE: Vote Democrat if you want al Qaeda to win.

In the 1970's, the Democrats didn't care if the communists took over Vietnam and southeast Asia - or if the USSR took over Afghanistan and Khomeini took over Iran.

The Senate and the House have now both passed resolutions in support of our continued military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the global war on terror. Only the most extreme isolationists, defeatists and doves voted against the measures - six in the Senate and 150 Democrats in the House.

HERE'S A SATIRICAL VERSION OF THE RESOLUTION - ONE WHICH SENATORS HARKIN, TEDDY JO KENNEDY, BABS BOXER, FEINGOLD, JOHN "X-MAS IN CAMBODIA" KERRY, AND BOB "KKK" BYRD - AND 150 DEMOCRAT MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE - PROBABLY WOULD HAVE SUPPORTED:

Declaring that the United States doesn’t have to prevail in the Global War on Terror, the struggle to protect freedom from the terrorist adversary.

Whereas the United States and its allies are engaged in a Global War on Terror, a too long and too demanding struggle against an adversary that is driven by relevant grievances of America’s selfish values and that is committed to its own value system using means which are acceptable to it for self-preservation and proselytization in its historical sphere of influence;

Whereas for the past two decades, terrorists have used violence to gain sympathy with the Left, anti-Semites, the EU and the MSM;

Whereas it is essential to the security of the American people and to world security that the United States, together with its allies, appease the terrorists and to those who provide them assistance;

Whereas the Taliban, Al Qaeda, and other terrorists haven’t stopped fighting in Afghanistan;

Whereas the Afghanistan, the United States, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization cannot afford to sustain a sovereign, free, and secure Afghanistan;

Whereas by early 2003 Saddam Hussein and his Baathist regime in Iraq, was contained and did not constitute a threat against global peace and security and was in violation of only minor parts of the mandatory United Nations Security Council Resolutions;

Whereas because the United States and its Coalition partners, having removed Saddam Hussein and his regime from power, have failed to establish an entirely peaceful Iraq;

Whereas the terrorists moved into the power vacuum created by the United States and the incompetent Rumsfeld and his Jewish advisors acting in the interests of Israel and the Likud and have declared Iraq to be the central front in their war against the GOP's crusader occupiers led by the criminal Bush Administration;

Whereas the Iraqi people, because of this war brought on by the United States and other so-called Coalition partners, have a chaotic government which is not truly representative;

Whereas the terrorists seek to overthrow this imposed democracy because democracy cannot be imposed in Iraq or in the broader Middle East;

Whereas United States Armed Forces, in coordination with Iraqi security forces and Coalition and other friendly forces, have terrorized Iraqis and are stuck in a quagmire;

Whereas Iraqi security forces are a joke;

Whereas the United States and Coalition service members and civilians and the members of the Iraqi security forces and those assisting them who have made the ultimate sacrifice or been wounded in Iraq have only done so to advance the GOP at Rove’s behest;

Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the House of Representatives--

(1) mourns the losses of all those Americans who have died in vain by taking part in the phony war Bush calls the Global War on Terror;

(2) feels more sympathy for the victims of the USA’s retribution than for the victims of jihad, and we blame the Bushies for the deaths which the jihadis commit;

(3) declares that it is not in the national security interest of the United States to fight the Islamic radicals in Iraq or anywhere else;

(4) declares that the United States will redeploy immediately all forces out of Iraq;

(5) informs Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki and the Iraqi people that they are on their own;

(6) calls upon the nations of the world to accept our sincerest apologies for creating Third World poverty and Global Warming, for starting a phony global war against peace-loving jihadists, and for attacking the UN; and

(7) declares that the United States will immediately cede our borders to Mexico and our foreign policy to the UN and France.

This would be a perfect RESOLUTION for the DOVES AND DEFEATISTS WHO NOW CONTROL THE DEMOCRAT PARTY - DEMAGOGUES WHO MIGHT VERY WELL GAIN CONTROL OF CONGRESS AND THEREBY MAKE PELOSI INTO SPEAKER PELOSI. And make me puke.

SWEDEN: SOCIALIST NIGHTMARE - AND THE FUTURE OF THE EU

Sweden's unemployment rate is 15 per cent, three times the figure being used by the government, according to new research from McKinsey Global Institute, the think tank.... In its first assessment of the country's economy since 1995, it said: "Sweden's economy has reached a critical juncture. If nothing is done, the problems will become much more serious."

It praised Sweden for achieving average GDP growth of 2.7 per cent a year since 1995, which it attibuted to deregulation and improvements in private sector productivity. But it said the country could not rely on future improvements in private-sector productivity, as the catch-up effect that had driven these developments would decline over time. The ageing population would put the public sector under "intolerable pressure" unless productivity improved, it added.

"If nothing else changes, the resulting increase in welfare costs would become too large to finance through the current tax system in only 10 to 20 years," McKinsey said.

From 1900-1950 Sweden was one of the fastest growing economies in the world - due to INDUSTRIALIZATION and CAPITALISM. Since 1950 only their PUBLIC SECTOR has consistently grown - (now, most people work for the government or are on welfare/public support). But it gets worse: Sweden also has a HUGE immigrant problem - a MUSLIM IMMIGRANT PROBLEM: epitomized by their rape epidemic.

There is a connection between Sweden's lack of any real domestic commercial growth - (which will strangle them economically), and their jihadist problem - (which will smother their indigenous culture): both are being fueled by SOCIALISM - and ideology which is a DIS-incentive to prosperity and which promotes MULTICULTURSALISM amd MORAL RELATIVISM.

Socialism entirely DISARMED the Swedes of the means to grow their economy and project THEIR OWN CULTURE into the future. The fact is the so-called SWEDISH MODEL sucks, BIGTIME. SADLY, the same will be true for most of the rest of the EU, which over the last 35 years has emulated Sweden more than the USA. INSANELY: THE DEMOCRAT PARTY WANTS THE USA TO FOLLOW THE SWEDISH MODEL.

WHAT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT FRONT IN THE GLOBAL JIHAD? THE USA

Arafat tried to make Jordan his base; he got whacked and tried to make Lebanon his base; he got whacked again and tried to make Tunis his base. Then the Oslo Peace Process HANDED HIM THE OCCUPIED TERRITORIES for him to use as a terrorist base. Now that base belongs to Hamas, which is just as bloodthirsty as Arafat's Fatah but not as good at PR; (for some reason the EU/UN/Left LOVED Arafat - like they do Fidel). Hamas's OVERT EXTREMISM has isolated the Arab-Palestinians from the entire world, and has brought them to the edge of civil war.

I think it is fitting to point out that AL QAEDA means THE BASE, and that Afghanistan WAS a base of oprations for Binladen until we whacked them and the Taliban pretty good. They're still trying to stage a comeback but NATO forces are keeping them at bay, and winning nthe war of attrition.

OBVIOUSLY, the jihadoterrorists have been trying to make Iraq a base of operations since Saddam was toppled. By all reasonable and historical standards THEY ARE FAILING.

Despite the fact that they have failed over and over again, the Jihdoterrorists will probably continue this pattern for several MORE DECADES before we will have effectively smothered all the cinders of jihadoterrorism.

I mean, the fact they they have been trying global jihad for 1400 years and have failed against the West for the last 700 years AND YET HAVEN'T GIVEN UP sort of defines one aspect of their INSANITY - (along with their diathesis for child abuse, misogyny, beheadings and genocidal racism).

Somalia might be next the next base. Or Indonesia. Or Kashmir - ANYWHERE the jihadists think they can grab some territory. For a base.

I worry that after we defeat al Qaeda in Iraq (probably in the next year), that maybe Americans will have a false sense of victory. And that it will take a "9/11 to the 10th power" to wake us up and motivate us to finish the job.

I mostly worry about this because the Democrats (my party for the last three decades) have shown me ZERO. The Dems are more dovish and more Left-wing now then during the Vietnam War - back then, the Dems had a few trustworthy Cold Warriors. Now they have ONE: Lieberman, and soon he might be an Independent - or out of office.

When only one party is committed to the national defence, and when the other is willing to lie and demagogue and spew enemy propaganda - (as Kennedy and Murtha have done over and over, for example) - well then the odds that the nation will retain the necessary resolve greatly diminish. And withouy resolve we cannot win a decades long war.

The Left - and the MSM and Democrat Party they dominate - does not want us to win. They want us rebuked and chastized, and put in our place - never again to play the role of "lone superpower" playing "world cop" riding rough-shod over the Third World while despoiling the atmosphere with our CO2. (They'd love it if the UN and Kofi would play world cop!)

As a result of the constant and withering blitz of Left-wing "anti-war" propaganda, which is, for all intents and purposes, written by the enemy, large segments of the public have become defeatist.

That's why I think the most important battle in the global jihad is NOT being fought in Iraq or Afghanistan or Somalia or Saudi Arabis or Gaza.

It's being fought RIGHT HERE. And D-Day is the up-coming election.

If the Left wins - if the Dems win - then so does al Qaeda.

Already, China uses more coal than the United States, the European Union and Japan combined. And it has increased coal consumption 14 percent in each of the past two years in the broadest industrialization ever. Every week to 10 days, another coal-fired power plant opens somewhere in China that is big enough to serve all the households in Dallas or San Diego.

KYOTO WOULD HAVE EXEMPTED CHINA, AND THEREFORE DONE ABSO-FRIGGIN-LUTELY NOTHING/NADA/BUPKUS/ZILCH ON THIS SCORE.

BUT TECHNOLOGY - AND THE MARKETPLACE MIGHT SOLVE IT. PRONTO. AND BIGTIME: Existing coal-to-liquid technology can turn China's coal into cleaner burning oil/gasoline, and make them billions of dollars too. China has 190 billion tons of coal:

LEFT VERSUS RIGHT: ON ABORTION AND LIBERATION

I think there's a deep connection on the positions that Left and Right take on two seemingly unrelated issues - two issues which are at the center of America's political debate: abortion and liberation.

The Left is pro-abortion and anti-liberation.
The Right is anti-abortion and pro-liberation.

ON ABORTION:

The Right is basically anti-abortion, believing that the only non-arbitrary point at which to argue individual life begins is at conception, and that because each and every life is sacred they must be treated as such - from conception. Abortion is the taking of human life and should be avoided; adoption should be promoted as the only acceptable way to deal with unwanted pregnancies.

The Left argues that a woman's control of her own body is a fundamental human right, and that ths includes control over the fetus until viability.

The Left feels that the Right only cares about the fetus, and that as soon as the baby is born "the Right doesn't give a rat's ass about that person - otherwise, they'd support a cradle-to-grave welfare state." (I have personally heard this argument a thousand and one times!) The Left believes that people should have their basic needs GUARANTEED by the state - FOR LIFE.

ON LIBERATION:

The Left argues that Iraq and Afghanistan are disaster zones where chaos and violence rule the day, and that there was more stability ands safety for Iraqis and Afghanis, and their regions - if not the world - before Bush decided that he had the duty and authority to "impose democracy" on people who probably aren't ready for it.

(BEAR WITH ME: Forget that this conclusion doesn't jibe with the facts, for a moment! Foeget that the annualized death toll during Saddam's reign of terror was GREATER than the last three years! Forget that MILLIONS of Afghani refugees have RETURNED to Afghanistan, and that women are learning to read again - and see doctors, and children are flying kites.)

The Right argues that democracy isn't ever "imposed" - rather, that what we had in Iraq and Afghanistan were tryannies - which WERE imposed - and that have mow been removed. Hence the term LIBERATION.

The Right thinks it's unfair to criticize the inefficient and messy "sausage-making" process (called self-government by consent of the governed) in nations which have JUST begun to form their democracies; IOW: democracy is a messy process not an catered event. "SURE SURE SURE," the Right admits, "things are tough now, but the people are materially better off already and they have more liberty, too. And the situation is improving. And, ultimately... IT'S UP TO THE IRAQIS AND AFGHANIS THEMSELVES (to paraphrase Franklin): "They have their democracies, now they must defend them!"

THE PARALLEL: how the literal birth of a baby, and the figurative birth of a democracy are politically related

The Left might criticize the Right's position on BOTH abortion and liberation as desiring the baby/democracy to be born, but then NOT guaranteeing a honkey-dorey life, after that. In the absence of that GUARANTEE, the Left says it's a better deal if the baby - and the democracy - HAD NEVER BEEN BORN. Iraq and Afghanistan have had rocky starts - and their futures SEEM UNCERTAIN ; to the Left, this proves these democracies should have never been born.

The Right believes that LIFE and LIBERTY are fundamental human rights derived from the Creator - AND NOT THE STATE, and that it's up to each of us - not the state - to do the best we can for ourselves. On a national scale, ONCE LIBERTY HAS BEEN SECURED, it's up to each nation to do the best that it can, too. Italy and France can do it their way; the UK and Poland can do it another way. Democracies allow the governed to decide - by majority rule. It ain't one size fits all, and some will do better than others.

The Right's positions are entirely consistent and based on First Principles: LIFE AND LIBERTY ARE SACRED; THE LIVES OF ALL PEOPLE EVERYWHERE ARE SACRED - INCLUDING MUSLIMS WHO HAVE NEVER YET LIVED UNDER DEMOCRACY AND FETUSES.

The Left's positions are consistent, too: they'd rather have less liberty and a strong state which guarantees cradle-to-grave welfare and "public safety" - (like the USSR and Saddam's Iraq) - than have more liberty and more personal risk.

The acceptance of hazard and risk (as a COST OF FREEDOM) is also why people on the Right are more comfortable with the idea that wars do not always go so well, but that if we perservere we will win.

The Left wants military victory guaranteed - in a short time-frame, too. And without any costs. That's why they get wobbly and defeatist as soon as the going gets tough.

BOTTOM-LINE: Just as the Left thinks it's WRONG to "IMPOSE" life on a fetus, they feels it's wrong to "IMPOSE" democacy on the tyrannized.

We on the Right thinks it's our duty to do both.

This basic difference between the Left and the Right is why the enemy is counting of the Left gaining power, and aborting the nascent democracies in Afghanistan and Iraq.

This is no mere metaphor - nor one over-extended. Lincoln rightly said - in the Gettysburg Address - that VICTORY in the US Civil War would lead to a NEW BIRTH OF FREEDOM. It did. So did victory in WW2 and the Cold War. So too will victory in WW4. It will not be a "final victory", but it will be an important victory - another pivotal victory - in the continuing saga of humanity's ever-expanding liberation.

And we gotta just keep fighting. YUP: Just keep fighting, baby! It's a good fight. THE GOOD FIGHT.

It'd be an easier fight if the Left would join our side instead of aiding and appeasing the enemy. But we'll win anyhow.

Venezuela is competing with Guatemala for a regional seat on the Security Council, which is charged with maintaining international peace and security. The U.S. government - which has frequently been at odds with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez - publicly backed Guatemala's bid at last week's Organization of American States general assembly in the Dominican Republic.

Security personnel and militiamen fired shots then rampaged through the offices in protest at earlier Gaza clashes. Hamas MP Khalil Rabei was briefly kidnapped, but later released.

The American Civil Liberties Union has asked for an immediate halt to the warrantless wiretapping program.

U.S. District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor was to hear the case brought by the ACLU against the National Security Agency. The Bush administration has asked Taylor to dismiss the lawsuit, saying the litigation would jeopardize state secrets. But Taylor said she would first hear arguments on the plaintiffs' motion for summary judgment, despite the government's assertion that no court can consider the issues.

The case goes to the heart of the larger national debate about whether President Bush has assumed too much power in his declared war on terrorism. Bush said he authorized NSA intercepts soon after the September 11 attacks, allowing the NSA to monitor the international phone calls and e-mails of U.S. citizens without first obtaining warrants if in pursuit of al Qaeda suspects.

The Israeli military is still trying to determine if shells it fired killed seven members of a Palestinian family picnicking on a beach in Gaza on Friday. The military has accounted for five of the six shells it fired into Gaza, and said they didn't kill the family.

If the whole thing wasn't staged and phony, then perhaps the artillery shell was deliberately fired by Hamas?! IT'S A FACT THAT HAMAS HAS MURDERED MANY MANY GAZANS - (mostly Fatah members). I think it's possible that Hamas thought it might advance their control of Gaza and hurt Abbas and Fatah.

UPDATE; JIHAD WATCH/INN:

An Israel Defense Forces intelligence officer has confirmed that the explosion that killed eight Palestinians on Friday, was caused by a stockpile of Hamas explosives.

"Shortly after we stopped defensive firing at Hamas rocket launch pads which were deployed behind Palestinian human shields, members of Hamas scrambled to fire more rockets at our positions," said Col. M. "We have eyes on every meter of Gaza, from the sky, from the ground and from the sea. One of their rocket tripods collapsed inadvertently setting off an explosion of a stockpile of Qassam rockets. The Palestinians killed their own children. And this was not the first time."

This would make it an accident, and the reaction - immediately blaming the IDF - merely knee-jerk anti-Semitism by Arabs and the MSM. The immediacy of the videotaping makes me think it was DELIBERATE and not an accident. Stay tuned.

This global jihad was declared by the enemy when Carter allowed the Shah to be overthrown and replaced by Khomeini - in 1979. They attacked us MANY times between 1979 and 9/10/01. And we never responded adequately. And they escalated their attacks - month after month after month.

On 9/12/01, Bush accepted the fact that the so-called "realism" which had dominated foreign policy since Vietnam - (EXCEPT for Reagan's "in your face" approach to the USSR, which scared the becheezus out of the Left and the MSM and the EU, but which WON THE FRIGGIN COLD WAR!) - was obsolete.

Bush became a 9/11 person and a war-time president.
