HAREDI CRACKPOT PAROLED BY COURT STABS TEENAGE GIRL TO DEATH AT HOMOSEXUAL PARADE IN JERUSALEM

A Haredi crazy who was freed by the courts despite his clear continued danger and irresponsible police doing nothing to monitor him stabbed 6 people at a homosexual pride parade, murdering a girl:
An Israeli teenager has died of stab wounds sustained when an ultra-Orthodox man with a knife attacked a Gay Pride parade in Jerusalem three days ago.

High school student Shira Banki, 16, was one of six people wounded in the assault. Hadar Elboim of Hadassah hospital said the succumbed to her wounds Sunday and that her organs will be donated.

The suspect, Yishai Shlissel, was arrested at the scene. Police have come under fire for not keeping him under surveillance as he had been released from prison only weeks earlier having been jailed for stabbing three at the same event in 2005.

Shira went on the march on Thursday in support of her LGBT friends, reported Israeli newspaper Haaretz. Her parents and three siblings survive her.
She wasn't even a lesbian, and this piece of filth murdered her anyway. And indeed, it's the fault of the police and courts, who took no proper action to keep him away from the march.

The culprit is crazy enough that he even rejects the court's authority while not admitting he's erred too:
A Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court judge extended the remand of Yishai Schlissel for 12 days at a Friday hearing for allegedly stabbing six people at the capital’s annual gay pride parade the previous day, although the ultra-Orthodox suspect said the court had no jurisdiction because it does not “follow the rules of the holy Torah.”

Schlissel, 50, from Modi’in Illit – who was released from prison three weeks ago after serving a 10-year sentence for committing a similar crime at the 2005 Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade – defiantly told Judge Chana Miriam Lomp during the hearing: “I do not accept this court’s authority. This court is part of the mechanism of evil. I have no interest in cooperating at all. I do not recognize any of the regime’s institutions.”

Noting Schlissel’s previous conviction, the severity of the crime he is accused of, and that he poses an imminent threat to society, Lomp honored the police request to keep him behind bars for a minimum of 12 days.
I hope they're only saying he's to be in a cell until a trial can be arranged, after which he'll hopefully be incarcerated for life.
In 2005, Schlissel was convicted of attempted murder and aggravated assault for stabbing three people marching in that year’s parade. Although he was initially sentenced to 12 years imprisonment, a successful 2007 appeal lowered the sentence by two years.

While police spokeswoman Luba Samri said on Saturday she could not comment on the case, the Judea and Samaria District Police issued a statement saying that although Schlissel lives in its jurisdiction, officers were not obligated to follow him into Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Post’s sister paper, Ma’ariv, reported that following Schlissel’s release from prison, he returned to his ultra-Orthodox West Bank community and penned a hand-written pamphlet railing against the impending parade.

“It is the obligation of every Jew to keep his soul from punishment and stop this giant desecration of God’s name next Thursday,” the pamphlet stated.

“Once again, the evildoers want to have a parade of sin, and of all places, in Jerusalem – city of the king of kings, blessed be He – in order to defile its holiness and desecrate its holy name on Thursday,” the missive continued.

“They are always looking for ways to desecrate God’s name even more.”
That monster desecrated God's name even more. He violated the Commandment against murder, and acts like homosexuality cannot be reversed and repaired. And there's the following to ponder too:

Moreover, Schlissel contended that it is incumbent on all religions to collectively reject displays of gay solidarity and pride.

“It is [an obligation] on all the religions to come together and stop this event,” he wrote.
This is disturbing. Is he implying he thinks Islamofascists should murder homosexuals too? It sounds like he's hinting he considers Islam legitimate. Why am I not surprised such a crackpot could be fine with the Religion of Peace too?

As mentioned, the police have been blamed for failing to stop the attack:
The Israel Police is facing mounting criticism over its conduct leading up to the stabbing attack at the Gay Pride Parade in Jerusalem last week, including from within its own ranks. According to a senior police officer who spoke with Israel Hayom over the weekend, the conduct of the police was even worse than their mishandling of the three abducted teens last year. "In that incident, the police mishandled the emergency call [made by one of the teens], but even if the operator had responded properly, this would have not spared their lives," the officer said.

"As for the attack at the Gay Pride Parade -- it could have been pre-empted, because the writing was on the wall, all over," he said, adding that the security lapses were even more striking now that more details about the alleged attacker have come out, Yishai Schlissel.

"Three weeks ago, Schlissel was released from prison [where he served a sentence for a similar attack during the 2005 Gay Pride Parade in the city], and ever since he has been lashing out at the LGBT community on ultra-Orthodox new outlets," the officer said. "Apart from adding his name and picture in the preparation briefings, the police chose not to take any measures that would have kept him away from the march, nor did they track his movement or choose to summon him to the station on the day of the event to warn him."

[...] "You would think the fact that Schlissel was released [prior to the march] would mean the police would do everything possible to stop him from being there," the senior officer told Israel Hayom. Senior police officials voiced skepticism over the weekend when asked whether the committee's recommendations would be implemented after it submits its report.

[...] At his arraignment hearing on Friday, Schlissel showed no remorse and lashed out at the judge. "I refuse to recognize the authority of this court, which does not follow the laws of the holy Torah; this court is part of the evil system and I do not want to talk or listen to anything," he told Jerusalem Magistrates' Court Judge Chana Miriam Lomp. Schlissel, who has so far refused to cooperate with investigators, has turned down legal counsel.
What a crock coming from somebody who, again, violated Thou Shalt Not Commit Murder. And even if he is mentally insane, that doesn't mean they shouldn't lock him away for life. This failure by police to prevent a crime by a Haredi criminal isn't new. It stems from the same mentality as that which led to the harrassment of girl students in Beit Shemesh, and the same one that refused to curb Muslim harrassment and incitement at the Temple Mount. If a LGBT activist condemned Muhammed as a pig, there's every chance they'd turn against him/her too.

As if things weren't bad enough, the LGBT activists supposedly enraged at this horrific act excluded religious speakers at a rally condemning the murder, and booed another politician who came:
Right-wing politicians on Sunday lamented the antagonism they faced from LGBT activists, following an anti-violence rally in Tel Aviv’s Gan Meir park the previous night.

The demonstration’s organizers canceled Education Minister Naftali Bennett’s planned appearance, citing a “belligerent crowd” in a text message to the Bayit Yehudi leader, and soon after, when Yinon Magal, an MK from his party, tried to speak in Bennett’s stead, he was not allowed to take the stand.

National Infrastructure, Energy and Water Minister Yuval Steinitz, a member of the Likud, was booed incessantly during his speech and protesters waved red-stained gloves at him, which were meant to indicate he had blood on his hands.

Politicians participating in the rally were asked to sign a letter stating: “I commit in all my public work... to act to prevent incitement to violence... [and to] remember that I also represent the gay community and to act to promote full equal rights for this community.”

Bennett says he supports equal individual rights for all Israelis, including members of the LGBT community, but not gay marriage. However, he wrote on social media Saturday night that the reason he did not sign the letter is that ministers are not supposed to sign petitions. Magal, who is not a minister, also refused to sign the letter, and was not permitted to speak at the rally. The Bayit Yehudi chairman wrote on Facebook late Saturday night that he agreed to speak at the rally because “I am education minister of all Israeli children and because I believe that even if we disagree, we can never, never raise a hand at one another.”
I get the vibe this rally was held more as an excuse to bash rightists as the root cause of all evil, and that's enough to wonder if the people who came really do care about an innocent girl. At worst, they're exploiting innocent people's blood. While we're on the subject, would they ever run a march through a Muslim neighborhood? If not, then their motives aren't genuine. I've noticed how some of the press are using this as an excuse for conservative-bashing, and have no interest in asking whether such a monster actually represents conservative values. The murderer knocked back efforts of conservatives to object to the practice of homosexuality by 50 years, and may have already caused conservatives more trouble than need be.
“Tolerance must always go in both directions. I will never accept the attempt to slander the 430,000 wonderful Israelis who live in Judea and Samaria, those who are called ‘settlers.’ There is a foolish attempt to do that at the moment. It will not succeed. Whoever does that is committing the exact same sin of prejudice and incitement... I am proud to stand at the head of a massive camp that believes in the Land of Israel, People of Israel and Torah of Israel and opposes all violence with all its soul, and I am not apologizing for that,” the minister said.
If that's what the people at the LGBT rally were doing, then it's doubtful they're altruistic.

Haim Shine said he wont apologize for something he's not responsible for:
As a member of the right-wing camp, I will not apologize for things I did not do. The criminal acts of last week have been properly condemned by our country's leaders. I will not let the hostile media and manipulative politicians tear Israeli society apart by promoting their narrow agendas, which have been rejected by voters time and time again.

Media mouthpieces of the socialist Left will not force me to beg for forgiveness for murders committed by serial offenders and wicked individuals. Even demonstrations attended by hundreds, which the media turned into thousands, will not compel me to change the foundations of my ideology, an ideology based on the Ten Commandments, including, "Thou shalt not kill."

I have never heard the leaders of the Left apologize for the thousands of deaths caused by the cursed Oslo Accords. Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas, the Left's "partners for peace," never condemned the murder of Jewish children in Israel. The Left did not hold demonstrations when 4-year-old Adele Biton died of wounds inflicted by a Palestinian stone thrower or when hiker Danny Gonen was brutally shot dead by a Palestinian gunman near a spring in Samaria
.

I reject with utmost disgust the obsequious statements made by a rabbi or two who have been deemed by the media as representatives of religious Zionism. They do not represent me and I doubt they represent their synagogues. The media, as usual, has given a platform to rabbis who parrot the media's worldview and assign collective blame on anyone who wears a kippah.

I am revolted by the words the big loser of the last election, Zionist Union leader Isaac Herzog. Without blinking, Herzog sought to portray the perpetrator of the stabbings at Jerusalem's Gay Pride Parade -- the anti-Zionist Yishai Schlissel -- as a member of the right-wing camp.
Indeed, many Haredis like Schlissel come from anti-Zionist congregations who don't recognize the Jewish state, and they're the ones who've really been causing the most trouble everywhere, while living off of socialist welfare. Neturei Karta is one of the most notorious examples, and in the past, the left formed coalitions in the Knesset with Haredi parties who call for using welfare to fund their unproductive lifestyles at the expense of the wider public. Herzog would've done the same if he got elected. The leftist press should be looking at themselves in mirrors and do some soul-searching, since it's their mindset that led to a lot of these tragedies.

Update: more on the subject here.
