In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently home recovering.Absolutely repugnant. This is whom the MSM consider "freedom fighters", including Bill Kristol? After this, I think Kristol had better apologize for aligning himself with the left and sugarcoating such violent, misogynist behavior. These are not the kind of people the west should be helping at all. Even with Iran, the west may have to be careful in case there's savage brutes among the crowd that's supposedly against Ahmedinejad.

CBS' LARA LOGAN SEXUALLY ASSAULTED BY EGYPTIAN MOB
Just a short time ago, a most abominable crime took place, perpetrated against a CBS news reporter (Hat tip: Scared Monkeys):
Thoughts and prayers to Ms. Logan and her family.
ReplyDeletePlease never forget this was Obama's mob. Your insight is excellent and I am always enlightened by your analysis. However, I think perhaps that Obama may have, in fact, only feigned detachment and disconnect with these events. Many conservatives opine Obama had no plan and no influence on the events in Egypt. I think Obama may have played these commentators. First, Obama slashed funding to democratic opposition groups in Egypt. Second, Obama apparatchicks have had contact with MB in Egypt. Third, the thing to do now to advance U.S. interests is send food. MB just said, preemptively, that no U.S. food is welcome. Obama will defer and not send food. This causes more unrest for the MB to capitalize on. Fourth, a "constitution" is being prepared this week for the Egyptian people to vote on in 2 months. There is no infastructure to have voting in 2 months. The only serious organized political party is the MB. An islamic "judge" heads the panel creating the "constitution." No women are allowed to participate, and no Christians either. Plus, do not forget, there are no organized opposition political groups in Egypt to participate. When asked whether the MB is now receiving U.S. aid ($), the state department had no comment.
So all this is coming to a head in a couple months? In a country where 35% of the men are illiterate and 45% of the women illiterate. (90% of the women have islamic clitorectomies) No, Obama's people were there last year. Ayers, Code Pink, ect. Obama wanted this rush to get rid of Mubarak - our ally. To believe Obama did not know there would be a vaccuum once Mubarak left is a mistake. Obama and the progressives have been planning for decades what they would do to the U.S. if they ever gained power. And they have been doing it and continue to do it. They are smart, patient, and viscous enemies of the U.S. It only happens to be a bonus that he could get rid of a pro-western ally at the same time, so easily, by simply throwing him under the bus to a mob while claiming moral superiority. That, btw, is textbook Obama.
Bottom line, what happens in Egypt is Obama's responsibility. He inserted himself and he owns it. There are things he could have done to advance America's interests and there are things he could be doing now to advance those interests. He is not. He is advancing his personal interests. And those interests are anti-American and anti-Israel.
