THERE WAS AN AL QAEDA ARREST ANNOUNCED IN BRAZIL DAYS JUST BEFORE THE CRASH OF AIR FRANCE 447

Astute Bloggers - June 3, 2009:
PERHAPS THE AIR FRANCE AND ADAM AIR EVENTS WERE REALLY AL QAEDA PRACTICE-RUNS FOR "BOJINKA 2" - (IN WHICH A DOZEN JETS ARE ATTACKED SIMULTANEOUSLY WHILE OVER THE OCEAN)

UPDATE: AN AIR FRANCE PILOT THINKS IT COULD HAVE BEEN A BOMB

UPDATE #3:
A Spanish newspaper said a transatlantic airline pilot reported seeing a bright flash of white light at the same time the Air France flight disappeared. "Suddenly we saw in the distance a strong, intense flash of white light that took a downward, vertical trajectory and disappeared in six seconds,"

,,,The plane sent no mayday signals before crashing, only automatic messages showing electrical faults and a loss of pressure shortly after it entered a zone of stormy weather.

....Portguese newspaper Estado de Sao Paulo, citing a source close to Air France, published what it said was the final sequence of messages, showing how the plane rapidly lost its key flight functions. It said they began at 0210 GMT showing the automatic pilot had been removed. The same minute there were multiple electricity failures. At 0214 GMT a final message was sent showing the planing was plunging towards the sea. There was no confirmation of this from Air France.
I THINK THIS WAS AN ATTACK...

  2. Norther Seer,
could you provide a link on that? I can't find that story anywhere.

I did, however, find this, from the Irish Times:

    http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/world/2009/0605/1224248098462.html

"The wreckage is spread out over several hundred square kilometres of ocean. The air force says there are at least 15 different concentrations of wreckage floating in six distinct areas of the search zone. So far no bodies have been spotted."

The fact that the wreckage is spread out in six distinct areas would indicate that the Jet really did break up in a storm.

But, the question that sticks in my mind is, why, when radars showed there were 100-160 mph wind with thunderhead clouds shooting up 50K feet in the air, was the Jet not instructed to avoid the storm?

    Why?

I fly a lot. Captains are always coming on the radio telling us we're going to do this or that maneuver to avoid a reported storm.
