A growing number of voters have concluded that Senator John McCain's running mate, Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska, is not qualified to be vice president, weighing down the Republican ticket in the last days of the campaign, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.
Over all, views of Palin were apparently shaped more by ideology and party than by gender.
Palin was viewed as unprepared for the job by about 6 in 10 men and women alike.
But 8 in 10 Democrats viewed her as unprepared, as well as more than 6 in 10 independents and 3 in 10 Republicans.
- IF 80% OF THE DEMOCRATS DISLIKED PALIN
- AND OF 60% OF THE INDEPENDENTS DIDN'T LIKE PALIN,
- AND IF 30% OF THE REPUBLICANS DIDN'T LIKE PALIN,
- THEN THE OVERALL % THOSE WHO DIDN'T LIKE PALIN CANNOT BE 60%;
- IT MUST BE LESS.
- IT WOULD ACTUALLY BE FAR LESS THAN 50% OF I'S AND R'S (AND D'S WHO MIGHT VOTE R.
- MEANING SHE IS LIKED BY MORE THAN HALF THE NATION.
- NOT A BAD % GIVEN THE RELENTLESSLY NEGATIVE SPIN OF ALL PALIN REPORTING SINCE SHE WAS NOMINATED.
THIS IS WHAT THE MSM DOES WITH PALIN, THE ECONOMY, THE IRAQ WAR, AGW ETC.
WITHOUT THE LYING SCUM OF THE MSM THERE WOULD BE NO LEFT.
AND NO CHANCE OF AN OBAMA VICTORY.
VOTE ACCORDINGLY.
Could you check the math on that one again? It looks like 80% of Dems viewed her as unprepared.
ReplyDeleteTypical liberal hit job, screw the math up so nobody can follow it and then declare the end you want to get out there.
ReplyDeleteSo why are her rally's so big and enthusiastic?
And how does her preparedness compare to The naive One's complete lack of significance about anything. Once you get back the collection of loser friends Obama has collected up, he has no accomplishments. No wonder he thinks money comes from money trees.

DAVEY :
ReplyDelete(A) 170/3 = <60.
(B) THERE ARE FEWER D'S THAN "I"'S AND R'S.
SO THE % IS ACTUALLY EVEN LOWER.
THE MATH IN THE POST IS APPROXIMATE.
AND THE POINT STANDS.
[I WILL CORRECT THE TYPO: MAKING D 60 ---> 80]
Well these NYT journalists may have asked 10 democrats, 10 republicans and 10 independants and then they extrapolated to an entire nation ( although it is just as likely they made it up - its less costly than real research!)...I hope their advertisers realise that the NYTimes probably cooks their own shrinking circulation numbers with the same ease...
