MCCAIN HAS THE INTEGRITY, COURAGE AND PERSEVERANCE TO LEAD; OBAMA DOESN'T

McCain - a decorated HERO - was a POW for 5 1/2 years.

That's longer than Obama has had any job - including US Senator!

McCain fought for Campaign Finance Reform, alongside the Democrat Liberal Feingold - an issue I disagree with - for over a decade. And eventually WON.

Obama has fought successfully for nothing, and accomplished nothing EXCEPT the furtherance of his own career.

McCain fought just as hard for Immigration Reform, low taxes, low spending, the Surge, and a host of other issues as he did for Campaign Finance reform. Fought steadfastly - with integrity.

Obama has merely advanced his career.

McCain ran against Bush in 2000, and then campaigned for him, tirelessly, in 2004. McCain joined with Bush to achieve things beyond their differences - and despite his personal animosity to Bush. This was big of McCain - but not outside his character. He has also forgiven his Vietnamese captors. And he has refused to use Wright against Obama. These all reveal McCain's integrity.

Obama has no such integrity: In a much publicized speech - (which sent a tingle up Chris Matthews leg, and which he said should be taught in schools alongside the Gettysburg Address!) - Obama swore he couldn't "disown" Wright any more than his grandmother. Then - MERELY 3 WEEKS LATER - Obama tossed Wright under the bus and withdrew his membership form the Trinity Church.

YES: THIS PROVES OBAMA HAS NO INTEGRITY. NO COURAGE. NO PERSEVERANCE - AND ALWAYS PUTS HIS OWN POLITICAL CAREER FIRST.

That's why, Obama doesn't deserve the trust of ANYONE - not Democrats or liberals - and certainly not of Americans.

Vote Accordingly.

  1. How does being a POW for 5 1/2 years qualify McCain to be President?

  2. davey - u sure seem desne sometimes...

    oy....

    re-read the sentence.

i do not argue that this aspect of mccin's life makes him qualified; i compare this part of his life to obama.

here's what fred had to say about it:

"But tonight, my friends, I'd like to talk to you about the remarkable story of John McCain. It's a story about character.

John McCain's character has been tested like no other presidential candidate in the history of this nation. He comes from a military family whose service goes -- to our country goes back to the time of the Revolutionary War. The tradition continues.

... On October 26, 1967, on his 23rd mission over North Vietnam, a surface-to-air missile slammed into John's A-4 Skyhawk jet, blowing it out of the sky. When John ejected, part of the plane hit him, breaking his right leg, his right knee, his left arm and right arm in three places.

An angry mob got to him when he fell to the ground. A rifle butt broke his shoulder. A bayonet pierced his ankle and his groin. They took him to the Hanoi Hilton, where he lapsed in and out of consciousness for days. He was offered medical care for his injuries if he would give up military information in return.

    John McCain said, "No".

After days of neglect, covered in grime, lying in his own waste in a filthy room, a doctor attempted to set John's right arm without success and without anesthesia. His other broken bones and injuries were not treated. John developed a high fever and dysentery. He weighed barely a hundred pounds. Expecting him to die, his captors placed him in a cell with two other POWs who also expected him to die.

But with their help, John McCain fought on. He persevered. So then they put him in solitary confinement for over two years -- isolation, incredible heat beating on a tin roof, a light bulb in his cell burning 24 hours a day, boarded-up cell windows blocking any breath of fresh air, the oppressive heat causing boils the size of baseballs under his arms, the outside world limited to what he could see through a crack in the door.

We hear a lot of talk about hope these days. John McCain knows about hope. That's all he had.

    ...

Whenever John was returned to his cell -- walking if he could, dragged if he couldn't -- as he passed his other fellow POWs, he would often call out to them.

    He'd smile and give 'em a thumbs-up.

For five-and-a-half years this went on. John McCain's bones may have been broken, but his spirit never was. (Cheers, applause.)

Now, being a POW certainly doesn't qualify anyone to be president, but it does reveal character. My friends -- (cheers, applause) -- this is the kind of character that civilizations from the beginning of our history have sought in their leaders -- (cheers, applause) -- strength, courage, humility, wisdom, duty, honor.

It's pretty clear there are two questions we'll never have to ask ourselves: "Who is this man?" and "Can we trust this man with the presidency?" (Cheers, applause.)"

    DAVEY:

MCCAIN IS A MAN OF INTEGRITY AND CHARACTER.

    OBAMA IS NOT.

HE SCREWED HIS FIRST LITERARY AGENT - JANE DYSTEL.

HE TOSSED WRIGHT AND HIS GRANDMA UNDER THE BUS.

HE'S LIED ABOUT HIS TIES TO AYERS, KHALIDI AND ACORN.

    OBAMA IS SCUM.

WHO HASN'T HELD ANY JOB FOR AS LONG AS MCCAIN WAS A POW.

    A COURAGEOUS POW.

    OBAMA IS SCUM.

    LYING SCUM.

    LEFTIST LYING SCUM.

    er...

    um...

is that clear enough fer ya!?!?

    you dupe.

  3. It isn't "being a POW" that shows that McCain is qualified, it is what he did while he was a POW that demonstrates his integrity, courage, perseverance, loyalty, and honor.

Tested in a crucible of REAL torture, McCain's character was refined and purified as the dross was was bruned away.

He has the mettle that our enemies will not feel the need to test, indeed they will be afraid to test it.

Whereas, as Joe the Senator admits, they will be eager to see just how yellow-bellied the appeaser really is.

  4. So, it's not that he was a POW, it's what he did as a POW?

...and that was, "he persevered"? That's the resume bullet?

At some point, the Rippups need to sit down and figure out how they ended up with:

    (a) McCain as their Pres. candidate,

    (b) Palin as their VP candidate,

    (c) A near-landslide loss on Election Day.

...or you can continue to campaign on the same issues. Daily polls will keep showing you how effective that is.

  6. OK, it seems clear that you plan on campaigning on those same issues that have got you where you are today,

...so I guess that's where you wanna stay. Good Luck with that plan.

Re.: Me being "AN ABOMINABLE EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN" - flattery will not buy my vote!

  7. u won't the last word on my blog, asshole dave.
