Solzhenitsyn dead

A GIANT:
Russian news agencies say author Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the Nobel prize-winning chronicler of the horrors of the Soviet gulag system, has died of heart failure. He was 89.
RIP.

The gulag's were set up for the common good, of course... by a slightly overactive nannystate, that's all...

VOTE ACCORDINGLY.

A Solzhenitsyn Quote:
That which is called humanism, but what would be more correctly called irreligious anthropocentrism, cannot yield answers to the most essential questions of our life.
Update/Excerpt:

From The Gulag Archipelago 1918-1956 by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.

The Case of the "Tactical Center" -- August 16-20, 1920

In this case there were twenty-eight defendants present, plus additional defendants who were being tried in absentia because they weren't around.

At the very beginning of his impassioned speech, in a voice not yet grown hoarse and in phrases illumined by class analysis, the supreme accuser informs us that in addition to the landowners and the capitalists "there existed and there continues to exist one additional social stratum, the social characteristics of which have long since been under consideration by the representatives of revolutionary socialism.
Hmmmmmm sounds like something Obama and Pelosi might say:

... illumined by class analysis [at the knee of Frank Marshall], the supreme accuser [Obama] informs us that in addition to the landowners and the capitalists [typical white people like McCain] "there existed and there continues to exist one additional social stratum, the social characteristics of which have long since been under consideration by the representatives of revolutionary socialism [the GOP].

FULL ROUND UP HERE.

UPDATE #2: EXCERPT FROM ... THE SPEECH:

Socialism

It is almost universally recognized that the West shows all the world a way to successful economic development, even though in the past years it has been strongly disturbed by chaotic inflation. However, many people living in the West are dissatisfied with their own society. They despise it or accuse it of not being up to the level of maturity attained by mankind. A number of such critics turn to socialism, which is a false and dangerous current.

I hope that no one present will suspect me of offering my personal criticism of the Western system to present socialism as an alternative. Having experienced applied socialism in a country where the alternative has been realized, I certainly will not speak for it.

The well-known Soviet mathematician Shafarevich, a member of the Soviet Academy of Science, has written a brilliant book under the title Socialism; it is a profound analysis showing that socialism of any type and shade leads to a total destruction of the human spirit and to a leveling of mankind into death.

Shafarevich's book was published in France almost two years ago and so far no one has been found to refute it. It will shortly be published in English in the United States.
SOMEBODY TELL OBAMA - AND GET HIM THAT BOOK!

  2. Interesting how many people attack religion as a primary source of evil in this world.

Yet many of the greatest men in history did the great things they did because of a sincere faith in God and his Law.

    and so on...

socialism killed more people in the 20th Century than religion in the previous 19 COMBINED.

the leftist academy has been attacking religion for 150 years.

it's now part of their gamsian agenda.

with God put of the way... ANYTHING GOES!

and the leftists have one less competitor of the attention of the masses.

top become TOTALITARIAN the state must either be the religion or eliminate all other sects.

this is true of communism/greenism and jihadism.

solzie was an ardent deist of sorts, ecumenical and spiritual.

    and traditional.

he saw what ATHEISM had wrought.

    the gulag.

no religion ever did anything close.

not even the RCC to Jews.

    not even muzzie to Jews.

only national Socialism did it on that scale to Jews.

obama has more in common with stalin than solzie.

Hahaha! Shafarevich he is talking about is one of the most notorious Anti-Semites in Russia who blamed Kristallnacht on the Jews. So definitely, that's a great book to recommend, thank you very much, very bright of you.

  6. What is Obama's position on cannibalism, I wonder. Does he prefer eating raw human flesh, or is he in favor of the cooked one??
