COLOMBIA-ECUADOR CRISIS WORSENS

BBC:
Ecuador has cut diplomatic ties with Colombia in a deepening crisis over a cross-border raid by Colombian troops.

Venezuela also said it was expelling all Colombian diplomats in the wake of the raid, which killed senior Farc rebel Raul Reyes and 16 others.

Ecuador and Venezuela have deployed troops to their borders amid calls for restraint led by the head of the UN.

Bogota has accused both states of having ties with the Farc and says the rebels have tried to buy uranium.
  • THINGS ARE WORSENING...
  • THIS MIGHT ACTUALLY LEAD TO A WAR -
  • AND ONE OF THOSE 3AM CALLS IN THE WHITE HOUSE.
  • I'M SURE GLAD OBAMA ISN'T THERE...
COLOMBIA HAS THE RIGHT TO PROTECT ITSELF FROM FARC - EVEN IF IT MEANS CROSSING INTO ECUADOR, AN ESPECIALLY IF ECUADOR IS AIDING FARC.

PERHAPS THE USA SHOULD INTRODUCE A UNSC RESOLUTION DEMANDING SANCTIONS AGAINST ECUADOR FOR SUPPORTING FARC?
