IF MCCAIN WINS, WE KNOW WHY: THE MANCHESTER UNION LEADER

This SUPPOSEDLY conservative paper endorsed a lib - McCain.

And their clout is why McCain got traction and why he just might win NH.

They gave him credibility with conservatives.

But McCain is NOT A CONSERVATIVE: he's a greenie who is against tax cuts and for amnesty and campaign finance reform.

I DON'T THINK IT'S OVER: After all, McCain beat George W Bush in NH.

Other primary voters - down the line - will have a better opportunity to find out McCain's REAL positions on the big issues of the day, and he won't be able to convince them he's a conservative.

UPDATE:

THERE'S ANOTHER REASON, TOO - MCCAIN IS THE MOST JACKSONIAN OF THE CANDIDATES, AND THE MOST JACKSONIAN ONE USUALLY WINS.

(I PREFER MITT, BUT LET'S FACE IT: HE'S MORE LIKE JQ ADAMS THAN JACKSON.)
