Great information here.
For another long-shot (sort of), how about Portugal's Jose Policarpo? He might be a bit too "liberal," as they say, but he could be a bridge between Old Europe and New World (especially Latin America, given his natural ties to Brazil). He'd likely be a safer bet than Hummes.
