THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE LEFT-WING DOMINATED MAINSTREAM MEDIA...

REPEAT: THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE LEFT-WING DOMINATED MAINSTREAM MEDIA...

THE PROBLEM IS THAT LEFT-OF-CENTER AMERICANS...

ARE LOCKED INTO THEIR LEFT-LEANING MEDIA HABITS...

THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE.

YOU JUST HAVE TO GO OUT AND GET IT.

LEFT-LEANING POLITICAL LEADERS LIKE THE FACT THAT LEFT-LEANING PEOPLE DON'T GET PUT OF THE COCOON AND EXPLOIT THIS AND KNOW THAT...

IF THEIR FOLLOWERS START TO USE THE NON-LEFT-LEANING MEDIA...

THAT THEY WILL BEGIN TO GET TH WHOLE PICTURE, THE WHOLE STORY...

AND SEEING BOTH SIDES, AND HEARING ALL THE NEWS - EVEN THE NEWS THAT DOESN'T FIT THE LEFT-LEANING NARRATIVE...

THEY WILL BECOME MORE INDEPENDENT...

AND MORE OPEN TO CENTRIST AND RIGHT-OF-CENTER POLICIES AND POLITICIANS.

LEFT-LEANING AMERICANS MUST BE CHALLENGED TO SEE BOTH SIDES.

THEY MUST BE TOLD THEY ARE LIKE JURORS WHO ONLY HEAR ONE SIDE OF A CASE.

THEY MUST BE CHALLENGED:

IF THEIR LEFT-LEANING WORLDVIEW IS GOOD AND PROPER AND SOLID, THEN WON'T IT BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND A LITTLE EXPOSURE TO FOX AND THE WALL STREET JOURNAL AND  THE DAILY CALLER?

THEY DON'T HAVE TO GIVE UP THE NYTIMES AND CNN AND THE HUFFINGTON POST.

JUST ADD FOX AND THE OTHERS.

LOOKIT FOLKS:

EVERY SINGLE RIGHT-WINGER I KNOW READS THE NYTIMES AND WATCHES EITHER ABC, CBS, NBC, OR CNN - A LOT.

WE KEEP TABS ON THEM.

WE ARE GETTING BOTH SIDES.

WE ARE BETTER INFORMED.

THAT'S WHY WE ARE RIGHT-WINGERS.

ALL LEFT-LEANING AMERICANS HAVE TO DO TO BECOME BETTER INFORMED IS GET OFF THEIR LEFT-LEANING MEDIA HABITS.

LIKE AN OSTRICH TAKING ITS HEAD OUT OF THE GROUND.

COME SEE THE LIGHT!

  1. The leftwing media do have a great influence on young people. Lately, I've been astounded to see the students I teach are buying into the media's crap. Because of the saturation, I suppose -- never mind that these students are homeschooled and come from conservative families.

We need to train young people in the recognition of logic fallacies!

  2. peer pressure and the urge to rebell.

    they think obama is rebellion.

because he is of the left and black.

they think overturning the american way is revolution.

but the only real revolution was ours in 1776, and the freemarket is the engine of prosperity because prosperity - which lifts all boats - is a by-product of liberty.

the socialism obama propsoes just poses as fairness; it's actually unfairness as it takes from those who ern to give to cronies.

  3. Reliapundit,
The "black thing" is one contributing factor in my group of homeschool students. No doubt about it: white guilt has been poured into generation after generation.

Rebellion? Some, but it's not a major factor in the small group I teach BUT the Golden Rule? Now, that's a major factor as these students live by it. They are compassionate. They have seen hard-working people -- their own grandparents who owned their own businesses or farms instead of working some kind of government job -- forced into Medicaid for end-of-life care (usually, dementia).

The Golden Rule has come into the discussion about the filmifada. I need to get the students to understand that the teachings of Jesus are for one's personal walk -- NOT FOR GOVERNANCE!

Peer pressure is always a factor.

Oh, have you seen the SAT reading selections and the essay prompts? Ye, gods! Students are forced to think like a Leftist so as to get a good score! Some info HERE.

A short while back, there were mass objections to one of the essay prompts: "What do you like to do when you are naked?" Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

  4. THEY HAVE TO BE TAUGHT THAT IT WAS SOCIALIST REGS AND NOT 'GREED" THAT CAUSED THE COLLAPSE.

The issue with capital letters is that they are harder to read than upper and lower case.

    Why?

Because every letter is the same height and width of every other letter and discerning letters is measurably faster and less fatiguing when uppercase and lowercase are used.
