IS TURKEY ABOUT TO SCREW US IN AFGHANISTAN, TOO?

JP/AP:
The UN Security Council will visit Afghanistan later this month to evaluate the current situation on the ground, the council president announced Wednesday.

... the exact focus of the trip was still being discussed, but "the main proposal will be to have an evaluation of the current situation in political, economic, social terms and also on security matters."

... Last year, the council also authorized the mission to strengthen and expand its presence throughout the country to promote good governance and the rule of law.

... UN diplomats indicated it would likely begin around June 19. The mission will be led by Turkey's UN Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan, whose country has primary responsibility for Afghan matters in the Security Council.

I PREDICT THAT THE TURKISH ISLAMISTS WILL CALL FOR POWER-SHARING WITH THE TALIBAN AND AN END TO US MILITARY INTERVENTION.

STAY TUNED...
