Less than a week after the car bombing attempt in Times Square, the RFK bridge that connects Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx is closed because of an abandoned UHaul with Arizona plates. The abandoned vehicle smells of gasoline, and Hazmat and Police are assessing the details.
11:40 PM: WCBS-TV:
Police say witnesses reported seeing a man flee the vehicle sometime Wednesday night and a smell of gasoline was reported coming from the vehicle, which was described as a U-Haul or Ryder truck.

THURSDAY UPDATE:
The bomb squad investigated the abandoned truck with the use of a police vehicle that is equipped with x-ray equipment. It was inspected but police found nothing inside. NYPD Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne said “all clear” after the NYPD bomb squad inspected the vehicle.
GOOD.

  1. I wasn't aware the retirement age was so low in Greece, but when you think about it many government jobs in this country allow you to retire after 20 or 30 years on the job. Government workers who belong to certain unions have certainly got a good deal for their workers, but its a bad deal for tax-payers who will have to pick up the tab---that's what happened in Greece and the government can no longer pay the bill.
