EHUD BARAK ATTACKS THE LEFT AS AN OBSTACLE TO PEACE

HAARETZ:
Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Monday accused left-wing parties of inciting against the government's efforts to accelerate the peace process with the Palestinians by preventing an unconditional resumption of negotiations.

"There are voices within Israel's deep Left - including people who have invested their entire political careers and all of their energy into making sure that Israel utilizes every opportunity to advance peace - who are questioning rather than encouraging the sides to enter negotiations," Barak told members of his Labor party. "They are only strengthening the doubt and the uncertainty, both for Israel and the Palestinians.

Barak's comments seemed to be directed at former Meretz chairman Yossi Beilin, author of the Geneva Initiative and an outspoken critic of Israel's government.

"I don't want to brand this as an attempt to halt the peace process," said Barak, "But these are things that certainly do not help?. I would expect these people to act according to their deep political positions, and any time the government showed readiness to take a dangerous step in the right direction, I would expect these people on the Left to say: we are with you."
I AM GLAD HE FINALLY SEES THIS; WE'VE BEEN SAYING IT FOR YEARS.

THE BIGGEST OBSTACLE TO PEACE IS THE LEFT; THEY ARE A FIFTH COLUMN FOR THE ENEMY.

IF WE WANT TO DEFEAT THE ENEMY WE NEED TO FIRST DEFEAT THE LEFT - EVERYWHERE.

ALSO; THE LEFT IS THE BIGGEST OBSTACLE TO PROSPERITY AND ENDING POVERTY.

IF WE WANT TO MAKE POVERTY HISTORY WE NEED TO MAKE THE LEFT HISTORY.
