Debt Skyrockets During Obama’s First 100 Days

“I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay, and that means taking responsibility right now, in this administration, for getting our spending under control.” — President Barack Obama, Feb. 23, 2009.

The words of President Obama, spoken only three days into his first — and, hopefully, only — term, ring hollow today as the nation approaches the end of the president’s first 100 days in office.
