TERROR UPDATE: Denmark

In the early hours of 4 September, Danish police raided 11 locations and nabbed 8 would be terrorists.

Some of the suspects- from 19 to 29 years old - are reportedly from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Police also seized volatile bomb making materials - precursors for TATP - an explosive also known as the "Devil's Mother".

Two suspects have already faced a judge, who issued them 27 days detention - including 13 days in isolation. (How do they like that at the ACLU?) The word is these arrests result from international cooperation among security services. The move now was perhaps triggered by increased chatter...hard intel' or the calender!

According to the PET (Danish equivalent to the FBI) these suspects were directly connected to al Qaeda. This is evidence that al Qaeda has regrouped and will make an effort to attack again.
