DO THE GITMO PRISONERS DESERVE ANYTHING?

The Geneva Convention is NOT international law; it is a TREATY which ONLY applies to SIGNATORIES.

To gain certain rights for its POWS a signatory must guarantee the same rights for all POWS of other SIGNATORIES.

These rights are limited to POWS, and POWS are defined as UNIFORMED fighters.

Non-uniformed fighters from third-party nations are NOT covered by Geneva -- no matter what the liberals on the SCOTUS might say.

But NO SANE SUPPORTER of Geneva could RATIONALLY argue that NON-UNIFORMED FOREIGN FIGHTERS FROM THIRD-PARTY NATIONS ARE ENTITLED TO MORE RIGHTS THAN POWS.

But this is EXACTLY what they argue.

After all. POWS are NOT given attorney's or the right to sue their captors in court. They are held until the cessation of hostilities.

SO... WHY GIVE ENEMY COMBATANTS (non-uniformed third-party fighters who are NOT covered by Geneva) MORE RIGHTS THAN POWS!?!?!?!?

It makes no freakin' sense. ZERO. Bupkuss. Zilch.

But it's exactly what the Left has successfully argued.

It sickens me.

Especially since these foreign fighters obey NO RULES OF WAR THEMSELVES.

All this effort (to give these enemy combatants MORE rights than POWS) does is HELP THE ENEMY.

Those who underwrite and undertake these efforts are traitors.

Traitors not only of the USA, but CIVILIZATION.
