SAS AIRLINES INTRODUCES FINGERPRINT ID FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS

Scandinavian Airline Systems has begun to use biometrics to insure that bagage checked onto domestic flights are in fact accompanied by the passenger. This is being done with fingerprint readers at check-in and at the gate. SAS promised the biometric datafiles will be destroyed after 48 hours. It is interesting that no one has complained about this increased "surveillance". Where's the ACLU!?!?!? Well - hopefully air travel will be a little safer.
