THE TIME FOR AN INDEPENDENT KURDISTAN HAS COME: THAT ASTUTE BLOGGERS SCOOPS THE TIMES OF ISRAEL AND LEGAL INSURRECTION BY 5 MONTHS

THE TIMES OF ISRAEL AND LEGAL INSURRECTION TODAY:
Why not?
The Kurds out number Palestinians several times over, and unlike Palestinians, have a real ethnic and cultural distinction from surrounding Arabs (and in Turkey, Turks). But for Europeans drawing lines on maps and Turkish national ambitions, there should have been an independent nation for the Kurds decades ago.
There currently is a de facto Kurdish republic in northern Iraq and an emerging autonomous region in Syria. Might these developments lead to a Kurdish nation?
The Times of Israel asks the question, Is a free Kurdistan, and a new Israeli ally, upon us?:
"The Kurds are the world’s largest stateless nation, numbering well over 30 million spread across Turkey, Iran, Syria, and Iraq, according to figures in the CIA Factbook, though exact population numbers are hard to pin down. Iraq’s 6 million Kurds have achieved the greatest measure of independence; they run the autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government, or KRG, within the federal Iraqi system since 2005 (though de facto autonomy began after Saddam’s army was forced out of the region during the 1991 Gulf War). But despite a booming economy and striking freedom of action, the Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq still has presented no concrete plans for independence.
Will it be Syria’s Kurds who lead the way toward a Kurdish state?"
TAB IN MARCH: IS KURDISTAN THE ANSWER?
Given the disastrous situation in Iraq,  in Syria, in Iran, and in Turkey  I can only think that the time is long overdue to support the national aspirations of the Kurdish people.  Yes, all of these aforementioned countries will have to lose territory to create Kurdistan.  But don't all of these countries call for Israel to trade land for peace?  (If they are not calling for the absolute destruction of Israel...)  The emergence of an independent Kurdistan would diminish internal ethnic conflicts in all of these nations and bring balance to the region.  It would be a far better plan for the State Department to pursue than the Arab Spring.
AND AGAIN IN JULY: ONE POLICY COULD SOLVE OUR SYRIAN SITUATION, AND CONTAIN IRAQ'S AND TURKEY'S BURGEONING ISLAMISM: SUPPORT AN INDEPENDENT KURDISTAN!
  • UNLIKE THE SO-CALLED "PALESTINIANS" - WHO ARE JUST ARABS, WHO SPEAK ARABIC AND HAVE NO INDEPENDENT CULTURE APART FROM THEIR U.N./ARAB-ENFORCED REFUGEE STATUS - THE KURDS ARE A REAL PEOPLE WITH THEIR OWN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE AND HISTORY.
  • THE KURDS DESERVE A STATE - AND THEIR SELF-RULING REGION WITHIN IRAQ IS A SUCCESS WHICH SHOULD BE REWARDED AND EXPANDED.
  • AN INDEPENDENT KURDISTAN WOULD REWARD ONE OF OUR MOST RELIABLE ALLIES IN THE REGION, AND IT WOULD HURT OUR ENEMIES AND ISLAMISTS AND ISLAMISM.
  • IT'S A SLAM DUNK.
WE SCOOP THE BIGGIES ALL THE TIME WITH HARD-HITTING COMMENTARY AND FRESH ANALYSIS.

SPREAD THE WORD.
