HE GETS TO LOOK LIKE A COMMANDER IN CHIEF, AND HE GETS TO HELP THE SUNNI ISLAMISTS TRYING TO OVERTHROW THE IRAN/SHIA BACKED ALAWITE ASSAD.

    Maybe I'm tone dead, but I don't think there is any desire, in any segment of the electorate, to see the US help out either side in Syria.

    And he's only 'commander-in-chief' after Congress declares war. Any other use of this tittle is usurpation.
