She admired the moral concerns underlying the desire for approval, but expressed concern by the same token that Israelis stand up for themselves. I'm glad to hear she brought that up, because we shouldn't tailor our way of life or politics to suit the world community. She also thinks that the "Arab spring" can actually help in a way, since there's more wives seeking to get out of subjugative marriages now, for example.
