FORT HOOD KILLER NOT CHARGED WITH TERROR OR A HATE CRIME
I understand the frustration but Hassan is being tried by court-martial for violations of the UCMJ. There are no terror or hate crimes provisions of that law since it is focused on the discipline of the armed forces. Other federal crimes cannot be tried at court-martial.
Hasan recently dismissed civilian trial lawyer compared this case to the Boston Masacre: "You will recall that an early president, John Adams, was subjected to similar scorn when he led the defense of British soldiers charged in the Boston Massacre. President Adams reminded critics that he performed a vital role and served a noble function.” --But, I don't recall the soldiers at Fort Hood forming a mob and attacking Hasan with stones and clubs before he opened fire on them.

ReplyDeleteIF OBAMA AND HOLDER CAN SMEAK AN ENEMY COMBATAMNT INTO NYC FOR A CIVILIAN TRIAL, THEN THEY CAN CHARGE THIS MOFO IN CIVILIAN COURT, TOO.
