KEEPING THE HISTORICAL RECORD STRAIGHT: BUSH DIDN'T ATTACK SADDAM BECAUSE SADDAM WAS PART OF THE OF 9/11 ATTACK

I heard that dickhead Jonathan Alter on the radio this morning hawking the paperback edition of his recent book on Obama, (an exercise in literary fellatio!).

One of the things he said was that Bush and Rumsfeld erred in going into Iraq in part because they thought Saddam was part of 9/11 and wanted the American public to believe this, too.

THIS IS A LOAD OF CRAP.

PROOF: If Bush had thought that Saddam was part of the 9/11 attack - in any way - then Bush could've and would've used the 2001 AUMF top attack Saddam, and wouldn't have needed an UN support or UNSC Resolution (PDF) - nor would Bush have sought - AND RECEIVED - separate Congressional approval to attack Saddam.

Leftists and revisionist scum like Alter have long sought to besmirch Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld for lying about WMD and also attacking Saddam because he was part of 9/11.

Neither of these charges have any basis in fact.

The CURVEBALL revelations and the 2003 Congressional authorization for the usa of force against Saddam proves this beyond any doubt.

AND ANOTHER THING:

These lying Leftists were quick to call for the USA to dump Mubarak, but never ever got behind the overthrow of Saddam who was FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR worse than Mubarak.

These leftists - like Alter,(who is the son of a member of the Cook County/Chicago Machine!) are immoral lying scum.
