According to a former Iranian member of the military, speaking in Paris, recently, many military officers are not loyal to the Ahmadinejad regime.
However, the army is not the same as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, which controls most of the country and owns many of the major state energy and telecoms companies.
