POLITICO:
... the connection Obama has with the age group that infused his campaign with its sense of mission and excitement has frayed.
... voters ages 18 to 29 are ambivalent when it comes to party politics and Congress: Thirty-eight percent of young voters say they have no preference as to which party controls Congress, according to Rock the Vote, a grass-roots organizing group for young voters.
At the same time, youth turnout rarely rises above a high of 25 percent in midterm elections, making it less likely that Obama can conjure up the same formula that sent young people to the polls in record numbers — particularly since he's not on the ballot.According to a recent poll by Rock the Vote, the top issues of their constituency largely mirror what the rest of the country is worried about: the sluggish economy, the budget deficit, health care reform and the cost of a college education.
THE DEMOCRATS ARE GONNA LOSE SO SO SO SO SO BIG. YOUNG PEOPLE DON'T DIG HIM AS MUCH OR THE DEMS. BLACK ARE NOT GONNA VOTE IN AS BIG A TURNOUT WITHOUT OBAMA ON THE BALLOT.
THE ONLY SEGMENTS OF THE DEMOCRAT COALITION THAT WILL EXCEED 2008'S TURNOUT ARE DEAD PEOPLE AND FRADULENT VOTERS.
WE WILL WIN ANYHOW.
YEAH BABY!
Barry Soetero should STFU...! Then we'd have fewer dickheads to aim at!
