EUROPE FACES IT'S COLDEST WINTER IN 1,000 YEARS - SCIENTISTS HAVE TO FIND A REPLACEMENT FOR AGW

Forecasters say this winter could be the coldest Europe has seen in the last 1,000 years.

The change is reportedly connected with the speed of the Gulf Stream, which has shrunk in half in just the last couple of years. Polish scientists say that it means the stream will not be able to compensate for the cold from the Arctic winds. According to them, when the stream is completely stopped, a new Ice Age will begin in Europe.

In order to meet the harsh winter head on, Moscow authorities are drawing up measures to help Muscovites survive the extreme cold.

Never fear, though, my Global Warming-addicted friends. Yes, you may have to taper yourself off the AGW paradigm, but your next fix of alarmism is just around the corner. Water.

And, don't look now, but fresh water seems to be flowing into oceans, of all places, AT ALARMING RATES:

PhysOrg.com) -- Freshwater is flowing into Earth's oceans in greater amounts every year, a team of researchers has found, thanks to more frequent and extreme storms linked to global warming. All told, 18 percent more water fed into the world's oceans from rivers and melting polar ice sheets in 2006 than in 1994, with an average annual rise of 1.5 percent.

So, scientists are getting busy making sure that we know how much water is used every single time we do anything human:

The Virtual Water Project would like to show the world how much freshwater is used to produce selected products— hoping for people to rethink their consumption patterns.

Water is probably one of the most precious resources and vital for everyone’s everyday life. Despite this obvious fact, people use large amounts of water: drinking, cooking and washing, but even more for producing things such as food, paper, cotton clothes, and almost every other physical product.

The water footprint of a person, company or nation is defined as the total volume of freshwater that is used to produce the commodities, goods and services consumed by the person, company or nation.

The idea of the water footprint is quite similar to the ecological footprint, but focussing on the use of water.

You see, cuz you wouldn't want to do anything human, like eat, defecate, or use water, for God's sake. 

And, since it takes a lot of water to produce paper, I think we ought to get the government involved in deciding which books are worthy for publication, and which aren't. Cuz, we don't want to waste water producing paper for books whose ideas aren't worthy.

You see where this goes.

And also, let's think about the idea that all this is precipitated (pun not intended) by the alarming fact that water is flowing into oceans (the horror). Does not ocean water evaporate, seeding clouds, and producing more rainfall, just as it has been doing for eons? 

I guess I'm going to have to help the scientists out a bit. 

Hey Scientists, here's how it goes: You talk, and spew tremendous amounts of hot, moist air. The air rises, getting caught in clouds (you know, kind of how dreams get caught in those Native American "dream catcher" thingies you buy at the New Age shops where you do your studying into the ways of Gaia). And, when the clouds get too much water caught in them, they become too heavy, and the water drops onto the Earth. And, then it flows down across the land, into rivers, and the rivers flow into the oceans. And then, the oceans evaporate, and the water rises up to the clouds, and gets caught in the clouds all over again.

That's just the way Gaia would want it.

Now, go to sleep and leave us all alone, will ya?
