WHAT NICK CLEGG SHOULD DO, AND WHY HE SHOULD DO IT: JOIN WITH THE TORIES

The only party which gained seats was the Tories.

Labor and the Lib-Dems both lost seats.

The Tories could form a minority government and govern effectively for a year or more, and they could enact many of their reforms without a coalition.

Therefore, the Lib-Dems have nothing to gain by sitting out.

Joining with Labour will not create a majority - nor would it have legitimacy.

Therefore, Clegg's only 2 choices are to sit it out and gain nothing, or join with the Tories and gain something.

After LOSING seats in the election, the longer Clegg waits the more he seems to be a bad decision-maker and weak leader and the more irrelevant will seem the Lib-Dems.
