TOM HANKS AND VINCENT BUGLIOSI TO TAKE ON OLIVER STONE AND THE CONSPIRACY NUTS IN A NEW MOVIE ABOUT THE JFK ASSASSINATION

Hanks also commented on his plan to give the mini-series treatment to Vincent Bugliosi’s 1,648 tome, Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy:

Hanks and Gary Goetzman will act as executive producers, and Hanks hopes the adaptation will air in 2013.

He believes the public has been snookered into believing that Lee Harvey Oswald was framed. “We’re going to do the American public a service,” Hanks says. “A lot of conspiracy types are going to be upset. If we do it right, it’ll be perhaps one of the most controversial things that has ever been on TV.

THE JFK CONSPIRACY IS AKIN TO AGW: TFL-WBS. (TOTAL EFFIN LEFT-WING BULLSNOT.)

(IT'S A SAD COMMENTARY ON THE STATE OF OUR NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM AND THE MSM THAT THE TRUTH ABOUT THE JFK MURDER WILL BE CONTROVERSIAL.)

  1. I'm certainly no left wing nut, but I lived in the New Orleans area before the assassination and often walked the same streets that Lee Harvy walked passing out his pro-Castro leaflets. I kept very close tabs on the Jim Garrison investigation into the events in Dallas and those in New Orleans before that fatal day. I have mixed feeling to this day on whether Oswald acted alone or not.

On a related note in 1964 I was attending a small college in Brookhaven, MS. and had the honor of meeting and shaking hands with General Edwin Walker when he spoke there at the invitation of then ex-governor Ross Barnett--if the name doesn't ring a bell he was the man that Oswald shot at in Dallas shortly before the Kennedy assassination. Fortunately for General Walker the bullet was deflected by a window facing. The weapon Oswald used in that attack was the same one he shot Kennedy with. I often tell people I shook the hand of the man that Lee Harvey Oswald tried to assassinate! Just a little personal trivia.

  2. JFK WAS NO DOVE.

    HE WAS A NEOCON.

AND HE WAS WHACKED BY A COMMIE.

"PROGRESSIVES" CAN'T STAND ANY PART OF THAT.

THAT'S WHY THEY INVENTED THE CONSPIRACY LIE.

  3. I read a lot of name calling here, which is never a very good argument one way or the other. I've read Buglisoi's book, comparing it with many, many other sources and the Warren Commission Report,as well as the findings of the later Congressional Select Sub-Committe on Assassinations Report. I find Bugliosi's book to be not very compelling, very arrogant and either ill-informed or an example of deliberate obsfucation, perhpas designed to sell a lot of books. I do not believe that Oswald shot JFK, and I do believe that there were multiple shooters in Dealy Plaza on the day of the killing. So did the committee. So do a great number of people who have spent a lot of time carefully reviewing FACTS, not assumptions, not rumors. If that makes us conspiracy nuts, simply because we do not find the evidence supporting the claim that Oswald acted alone to be compelling, then by all means label away. Mr. Hanks' project will be interesting if he does the thorough job on it that he has done on his many other notable projects. I intend to keep an open mind, think critically, and watch closely. I certainly hope that he will do the same.
