BREAKING: PARTS OF MANCHESTER/UK AIRPORT SHUT DUE TO ASIAN PASSENGER ATTEMPTING TO BOARD WITH STRANGE POWDER

THE SUN:

Police evacuated an airport terminal and declared a chemical incident after a man tried to carry an unidentified white powder on to a plane. The substance was discovered in the hand luggage of an Asian man, believed to be in his 20s, at Manchester Airport yesterday afternoon.

The check-in and security screening areas at the airport's Terminal 3 were evacuated as a precaution. The rest of the airport remains open.

Police said the man has not been arrested and is currently helping with inquiries while tests are conducted on the powder.

I WONDER WHAT THE POWDER IS - AND WHETHER THIS WAS A PROBE OR AN ATTAMPTED ATTACK OR AN ATTEMPT TO TRANSFER A WMD INTO THE USA.
