WHY I PREDICT AVATAR WILL LOSE MONEY
AVATAR NOT GETTING RAVES.
Cameron basically has gambled $500 million and four years of his life on being able to make the mass market root for aliens and against people.
Big Blue cat-like aliens.
I don't think this is a good bet.
I think you can get a small segment of the global audience to root for aliens and like this movie, but not as many as would root for humans against Aliens or for lovers on the Titanic.
Cameron probably felt that the ecological hook was enough to make people root for aliens.
I bet he's as wrong on this count as Gore is about AGW.

Yeah, right...730 million dollars stateside and almost 2 billion more overseas. If 3D tickets didn't cost 3 bucks extra you'd only fail monumentally, not hellamonumentally. FAIL!
