The Left claims that PC is all about saying what's politically correct and polite.
It's about not wanting to OFFEND a group with words.

Why does the Left insist on calling Tea Partyers - (the term they use to describe themselves, a term chosen because they wish to associate themselves with the patriots who staged this nations first tax revolt, Boston Tea Party) - as "Tea Baggers?
Tea Bagger is a deliberately provocative term.
EVIDENTLY: The Left is perfectly willing to use derogatory language against some people.
This hypocrisy makes it inescapably apparent that their whole entire PC effort is NOT idealistic, but merely a partisan tactic meant only to help them achieve their long-held goals.
No surprise here: those who have excused genocide for the sake of socialism (whether Mao's, Stalin's, Hitler's. Pol Pot's, or any other socialist tyrant) will of course excuse hypocrisy.
