Global Warming Ravages the MidwestCOLORADO DAILY:
October 10, 2009 Posted by John at 8:26 AMIt snowed in Minneapolis last night. It was bad enough to have a year without a summer; let's hope we don't have a year without a fall, too!
A hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service predicts freezing temperatures and snow flurries today and Sunday for much of Eastern Montana and northern Wyoming.
COLORADO DAILY:
Boulder gets first snow of seasonFriday evening brought Boulder its first official snow of the season, and Saturday morning may mark a record low temperature for the date, said Matt Kelsch, a meteorologist with the University Corp. for Atmospheric Research.
Snow accumulation is expected around Boulder County, with 1 to 2 inches predicted in the city of Boulder. Most of the precipitation is expected to fall overnight as a cold front moves into the region, Kelsch said.
Saturday morning is expected to be cold. The record low temperature for the date is 25 degrees, and Kelsch said Boulder may break that record.
You won't need your snow shovels quite yet, but you might want to start unpacking the winter clothes.IT AIN'T WARMER THAN USUAL ANYWHERE. IT'S COLDER.
The National Weather Service says temperatures in northern Wisconsin could dip as low as the mid-20s by late Friday night.
