OBAMA TRAPPED: THE ASTUTE BLOGGERS SCOOP RIEHL BY 3 MONTHS

Obama is all but completely trapped now. He came up through early traction with the Left of the Democrat Party. Despite valid protestations by the more centrist wing, represented by Hillary, the liberal elites in DC started endorsing him and that was all she wrote for Hillary.

... Facing early criticism from the Right, he tacked Left and home to his base. But in a center-Right America he doesn't have a prayer of delivering for them. He's already losing broad support simply because he did it....

The only option open to him is to tack back toward the center. Even that is risky for him, as he'll never be embraced by the more Right, even of the centrist-Right, nor will he be able to be truly faithful to anything he believes.

On top of all that, after all the anti-Bush rage, liberals who thought they finally had their day will be even more livid if he shifts, making him the guy who squandered it away. ...

Bottom-line, he's caught between the proverbial rock and a hard place. Trying to fight a war with Fox News as a distraction, one he thought might especially appease the Left, isn't likely to pay off.

T.A.B. 3 MONTHS AGO, " "OBAMA HAS PAINTED HIMSELF AND THE DEMOCRATS INTO A CORNER WITH OBAMACARE - AND AGAIN IN LAST WEEK:

Obama is actually in worse position than Dubya because Obama has painted himself in a corner whereas Dubya didn't.

After all: Dubya actually ran on being soft on illegal immigration and a compassionate conservative" (what us conservatives now know is code for LIBERAL!). SO Bush RAN as a moderate and governed as one - except on national security, where Dubya was a GREAT HAWK!

But Obama ran as a MODERATE while winking to his base so Obama is going to piss off the moderates and the base.

The moderates who voted Obama already feel TWICE BURNED: the TRILLION DOLLAR Porkulus was a total bust and it exposed Obama for what he was: a machine pol' who didn't even care if the bill had been read by Congressmen and didn't post it online for as long before signing it as he had promised to do during the election.

... He's missed every single opportunity to be post-partisan. And the moderates know this; they will not allow themselves to be burned THRICE.

BOTTOM-LINE - (barring the unforeseen): Obama will be at around 40% by November and the GOP will retake both bodies of Congress next year - when Obama will be at around 30%.

AND BEFORE THAT, LAST MONTH:

For painting himself and his fellow Democrats in to a corner over Obamacare, I have one word for Obama: JACKASS!

I mean... really, if Obama and Rahm and Axelrod and Jarrett were really as smart as Matthews and the state-run media claim then why did they paint themselves into a corner?

I guess this crowd ain't really as smart as they thought they were - or wanted you to believe!
