WAS THE 2/17/09 STIMULUS PACKAGE A STIMULUS FOR THE USA OR A WAR CHEST FOR OBAMA?

Obama, Axelrod and Rahm got Pelosi and Reid to rush through and absolutely huge "Stimulus" Package several months ago - passed on 2/15/09, and signed into law without Obama's promised 5 day Wait on 2/17/09 (because they needed to rush the money back into the economy!); it had $787 BILLION in new spending.

We were told it would stop the bleeding and start adding jobs to the economy. AND YEAH: they said it was a JOBS bill. For shovel ready projects - meaning there would be no wait for the money: it would get plowed back into the economy in projects which would be anchors for areas in decline and "job multipliers".

But less than 12% of the money has been spent.

SO.....

Why haven't Obama, Axelrod and Rahm spent the money Reid and Pelosi allocated?

WHY ARE THEY HOLDING IT BACK!?

SIMPLE:

They want to spend it next year in Congressional districts and States where they think they'll need the in-flow of "federal largess" to hold seats under threat or win new seats.

And they are using it as a cudgel right now:

I am sure they are telling wavering Congressman - who are worried about the burgeoning opposition to Obamacare - to stick with them or else.

If the Congressman holds the line and votes with Obama, Axelrod and Rahm, then their district will get a huge program right on time. If the Congressman bolts and votes against Obamacare, then their district will get bupkus - and they might even get a primary challenger who is supported by the Kos Kids, (so they will end up like Lieberman: a man without a party).

I think that's why they haven't spent most of the money.

Really.

That's how the Chicago Machine plays the game, and Obama, Axelrod and Rahm are 100% Chicago Machine players.

If we had an independent MSM then they'd investigate the projects on the hill and press Obama on why it;s not being spent now. But the MSM is state-run media and they want Obamacare and all of Obama's other socialistic programs to pass. SO instead of investigating the cheer lead and propagandize.

I think Congress should repeal the Stimulus and GOP candidates for Congress ought to promise they will repeal it.
