POLITICO: “Democrats have a senior citizen problem.” “Frustrated older Americans are packing the town halls on health care. They are incredibly passionate about their Medicare benefits. Polls show senior citizens largely disapprove of health care reform ideas so far. . . .
BECAUSE SENIORS ARE THE FASTEST GROWING SEGMENT DEMOGRAPHICALLY, THIS IS GREAT NEWS FOR THE GOP.
IF THE GOP CAN PICK UP THESE DISGRUNTLED DEMS THIS MIGHT ENSURE GREAT VICTORIES IN THE NEXT SEVERAL ELECTION CYCLES.
ROUND UP HERE.
UPDATE: VIDEO VIA FORCE OF REASON:
Yep. The aging Baby Boomers are pissed, all right. And I'm one of them.
ReplyDeleteOnce they lose Florida, it's over for the DNC. Dems also abort their next generation. Soon they'll have nobody but college kids voting for them.
ReplyDeleteIf those who wish to have a single pay healthcare plan really want voters of all ages to back it, then they will be the first to sign up for the program even before it is passed. Many legislators and the President have asked if they would give up their government supported health plans and take the government sponsored national healthcare iniative. I don't hear any positive answers. As for condeming those who go to these meetings, when those sponsoring them begin to listen to those who will be affected, the meetings may again become civil, but for now those who are being ignored or talked down to will continue to press until they are heard. It is not mob violence, it is fear of the unknown, which no one is willing to explain (1000 pages which most members of Congress have not read nor will they read before voting.
