Copenhagen Update...

While most readers have perhaps been preoccupied with Obama's Health Care Reform etc. I thought a summary of recent events in Denmark might be of interest: Against a backdrop of continued conflict between Danish Motorcycle Gangs and Islamic Gangs - over the lucrative drugtrade - a series of confrontations have occured between the police and youths in various danish Banlieu: arson, stonethrowing at vehicles from motorway overpasses, and automatic gunfire directed at the police. Coincidentally - while the press make an effort to strip their reporting of all ethnic descriptions of the perpetrators, the violence seems to have spread and intensified with the onset of Ramadan.
In other news, Naser Khader, now a Konservative, has proposed a law forbidding Burkha's - and the Government, which is sceptical about a general ban, has created a Burkha commission.
And against a steady stream of stories of Iraqis collecting disability benefits in Denmark while working for the Iraqi Government, the police entered Brorsons Church and removed circa 40 Iraqi refugees who did not received Asylum.
Never a dull moment...
