NYTIMES ON THE PUBLIC'S REACTION TO OBAMACARE:
What’s in it for me?
On the subject of health care reform, most Americans probably don’t have a good answer to the question. And that, obviously, is a problem for the White House and for Democratic leaders in Congress.
Current bills would expand the number of insured — but 90 percent of voters already have insurance. Congressional leaders say the bills would cut costs. But experts are dubious. Instead, they point out that covering the uninsured would cost billions.
So the typical person watching from afar is left to wonder: What will this project mean for me, besides possibly higher taxes?
- THIS IS AN ISSUE THE GOP OUGHT TO BE HAMMERING OBAMA ON DAY & NIGHT 7 DAYS A WEEK IN ALL MEDIA.
- BLUNT IS RIGHT: IF OBAMACARE IS SO WONDERFUL THEM ALL ELECTED FEDERAL EMPLOYEES SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO TAKE THE GOVERNMENT PLAN.
- THE GOP OUGHT TO MAKE IT A CENTRAL PLANK IN THEIR PLATFORM AT ONCE!
- AND ANY PERSON IN CONGRESS WHO VOTES YES ON OBAMACARE AND NO ON THE AMENDMENT SHOULD BE FIRED AT THE NEXT ELECTION - AND, OF THE GOP DOES ITS JOB WELL - THEY WILL BE!
Absolutely should they be forced to take the medicine they want to dish out!

Of course, Congress and even many federal employees regard themselves as oligarchy and elitists, above the rest of us -- the ones who foot the bill and pay their salaries.
