YES, VIRGINIA, THERE REALLY WAS MASSIVE FRAUD IN THE IRANIAN ELECTION

THEY ADMIT THAT IN 50 CITIES MORE THAN 100% OF REGISTERED VOTERS ACTUALLY VOTED.

VIA MEMEORANDUM.

  • I THINK THIS ADMISSION MEANS THAT THE REGIME NO LONGER HAS THE CONFIDENCE OF IMPORTANT SEGMENTS OF THE RULING CLASS.

  • IT'S OVER. AHAMDINEJAD AND KHAMENI ARE THROUGH. I GIVE THEM TWO WEEKS.
  • IT WOULD HELP IF OBAMA SAID SOMETHING FORCEFUL.
  • IT WOULD NOT BE TOO LATE FOR HIM TO HELP.
  • BUT - THANK GOD - IT'S TOO LATE FOR HIM TO CHANGE THE IMPRESSION HE GAVE THE WORLD OF A DITHERING EGOMANIAC WHO PUT HIS IDEA ABOUT PERSONAL DIPLOMACY AHEAD OF THE IRANIAN PEOPLE AND DEMOCRACY.
  • YEAH BABY!

  1. Internal elections or negotiations with other countries... no difference. It will take a violent overthrown of the mullahs and a new constitution before anything of substance will change in Iran. The face of the puppet president really makes little difference.

The best thing Obama can do is remain silent, otherwise he will try his debate team approach to Middle East politics and simply make matters worse. Ultimately, Obama will be forced to recognize that the throwback Muslims that run the country have to be overthrown by other Muslims who are open to a Turkish type of government. In order to do that, the U.S. has to help destabilize Iran through any covert means available. What the U.S. cannot do is create an external threat that creates a rallying point for the mullahs.

Israel remains the U.S. proxy with regard to facing down Iran. Obama needs to get his head out of his ass so that he can see the importance of strong public support of Israel. Otherwise, there will be expanded conflict centered around the Iranian proxy, Palestinians, and the U.S. will be drawn in beyond Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
