The Left has a zillion high-powered foundations like the Sierra Club, and several well functioning think tanks - like the Center for American Progress, and a few high-powered "grass roots" organizations - like ACORN. Most of them are ISSUE ORIENTED and find their minions by slicing up the electorate into INTEREST GROUPS. This has been pretty effective for them - both in fundraising and GOTV.
The right has many principle oriented think-tanks -like AEI, the Heritage Foundation and CATO, but no ACORN, etc.
We need to follow the left's organizing model.
We need to organize the Tea Parties into an ever-active ever-ready conservative grass-roots group like ACORN.
NOT a GOP group but a CONSERVATIVE/SMALL GOVERNMENT/LOW TAX group.
AND SOON. LIKE BEFORE 2010.
