REDISCOVERED 1999 DEMO OF SUSAN BOYLE SINGING "KILLING ME SOFTLY"

SHE SPENT HER LIFE SAVINGS MAKING THIS DEMO AND NOBODY WANTED IT OR HER.

  • SHE MUST HAVE GOTTEN REJECTION AFTER REJECTION...
  • NOW SHE'S A STAR. PROVING THE "REJECTORS" DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE LISTENING TOO.
  • I'D WAGER THAT THE VERY THINGS WHICH TURNED AGENTS OFF THEN ARE WHAT'S TURNING PEOPLE ON NOW.
  • WHICH IS WHY "JUST GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT" IS STILL THE BEST MARKETING ANGLE.
  • TO BAD THE "PRO'S" DON'T OFTEN DO THAT, AND INSTEAD GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY THINK THE PEOPLE SHOULD LIKE!
  • THE GATEKEEPERS SUCK.
REMEMBER THIS WHEN YOU COMPLAIN THAT THERE'S A LACK OF GOOD MUSIC OR MOVIES OR BOOKS: THERE'S REAL TALENT OUT THERE - LOTS OF IT.

THE PROBLEM IS GETTING THROUGH THE GATEKEEPERS...

  1. You gotta remember that, at about the same time, Lauryn Hill and the Fugees had an exceptional version of this song on the world's charts.

Susan Boyle's version is so far beneath The Fugees version that it would merit instant rejection, in my opinion.

Record company execs don't take kindly to imitation, especially poor imitation.
