GEORGE W. BUSH: MOST VILIFIED POTUS SINCE NIXON

Nixon was POTUS for just 5 years.

In merely 5 years, Nixon did the following:

• ended the draft
• ended the American troop involvement in the Vietnam War and succeeded in "Vietnamizing" the South's defense against the North and the spread of communism
• signed the Vietnam Peace Treaty - which the North violated during the Ford Administration
• signed legislation creating the EPA
• signed the Clean Air Clean Water Act
• opened up China
• invented detente and held the first successful nuclear arms reductions talks with the USSR and signed a nuclear arms treaty
• invented federal revenue-sharing
• tried wage & price controls
• took the USA off the gold standard
• saw to it that NASA landed a man on the moon
• brought law & order back to US campuses
• created SSI indexing
• instigated the first widespread integration of schools in the south and the military - while opposing busing
• endorsed the Equal Rights Amendment
• founded OSHA
• reorganized the Post Office as a private-government corporation
• established the Consumer Product Safety Commission
• invented the Legacy Plan - the FIRST affirmative Action program
• tried to pass mandated private health insurance via businesses
• airlifted weapons to Israel during the 1973 war - saving Israel
• lowered the national speed limit to 55
• and more...

THIS IS HARDLY THE RECORD OF A BAD PRESIDENT; IT IS THE RECORD OF A GREAT PRESIDENT.

IN MERELY 5 YEARS - FIVE DANGEROUS AND TUMULTUOUS YEARS - NIXON MADE MORE LASTING AND POSITIVE CONTRIBUTIONS TO AMERICAN LIFE - AND GLOBAL PEACE - THAN CLINTON DID IN EIGHT.

YET NIXON IS STILL VILIFIED.

AND THE LEFTIST DOMINATED MSM AND ACADEMY ARE DOING THE SAME THING TO GEORGE W. BUSH: VILIFYING HIM.

Bush has an outstanding record of achievement:

• won two major wars and liberated two nations and 55 million people from islamofascism and establishing them as democratic republics
• THE SURGE!
  
• using diplomacy, liberated Lebanon from Syrian occupation
• keeping America safe from terrorist attack
• expanding Medicare to include pharmaceuticals
• rebuilding our national defense and our military
• undertook the largest reorganization of the USG, creating the DHS
• cut taxes across the board for all taxpayers
• passed the NCLB Act
• increased domestic spending by more than any president since LBJ
• isolated Arafat
• as the first president to say the USA supported a Palestinian state for Arabs
• successfully negotiated CAFTA - (twice!)
• MADE TWO OUTSTANDING APPOINTMENTS TO THE SCOTUS
  

WINNING THE WARS AND KEEPING US SAFE ARE REASON ENOUGH TO THANK GEORGE W BUSH.

BUT - AS IT IS WITH NIXON - IT WILL TAKE A FEW DECADES BEFORE THE LEFTISTS RUNNING THE MSM AND THE ACADEMY SEE THE LIGHT.

TOO BAD.
