Egypt on Monday confirmed a new human case of bird flu, bringing the number of people infected by the avian influenza to 52 in the populous country, the state MENA news agency reported.Asmaa Mohamed, 21-month-old, has been admitted to hospital for treatments suffering from high temperature and vomiting, assistant Health Minister Nasr el-Sayed was quoted as saying.
The baby girl is from Kerdasa, 6th of October governorate, said the official, adding she was infected with the virus after being in contact with infected birds.
