INDIA: "Coldest Dec 20 afternoon in five years"

NEW DELHI: The winter chill was finally felt by Delhiites during the day on Saturday. It was the coldest afternoon after the warmest night
(temperature at 4 am) of December 20 in the past five years. Officials from Safdarjung Met office attributed this to the western disturbance over northwest India.

The day was cloudy and caused many to stay indoors and venture out only with adequate protection.
