CALIFORNIA EARLY VOTING FAVORS MCCAIN

It aint over 'til it's over, folks.

Don't despair, get out the vote!

Redstate reports:

California has begun early voting already as well as mail-in balloting. The number of people who have gone in to vote in person has been extensive. The results so far prove what we had always suspected. The polls are being proven as totally unreliable. Although the results of early balloting have not been disclosed,of course, how many Republicans and how many Democrats have voted has been revealed.

The results are simply shocking. The polls showed Barack Obama with an 18 point lead in California just a few days ago. The results thus far are the complete opposite. In the most liberal state in the entire country, the results are that 99,000 Republicans have voted and 96,000 Democrats voted. In the mail-in balloting the results so far are that 9,000 Democrats sent in their ballots and that 5,000 Republicans did so. So with nearly 210,000 people having voted, the Democrats have only a 1,000 vote advantage !

redalert at Redstate notes that you can't assume that 100% of Republicans vote for McCain, and 100% of Democrats for Obama.

Actually, I think that the percentage of Democrats disenchanted with the false messiah is higher than the percentage of Republicans who aren't going to vote for McCain.

Particularly when you take into account Hillary's PUMAs.

It's all about turnout. The drive-by media are doing EVERYTHING they can to depress Republican turnout. Don't surrender without a fight.

Vote accordingly.

  2. If McCain somehow takes back California, he deserves to win the election.

On the other hand, I can find no confirmation online to the truth of this "early voting" rumour...

  5. FYI:
    http://elections.gmu.edu/early_vote_2008.html

The current early voting total for CA is about 1.6 million. No data is yet available on D/R breakdown.

In sunny Florida however, the Dem's have already cast about 75,000 more votes than the GOP.

  6. Right. The only problem is that in the highly unlikely event that McCain wins in California, Obama is still projected to have such a broad electoral marign right now that he could lose in California and still win the presidency.

In fact, his lead on the east coast and midwest is so broad right now, a new president may have already been elected before the polls close on the west coast.

  7. Red state is lying. Didn't you think it was a little suspicious there was not link to any official California voting website? Didn't you think it was a little suspicious that no registered Independents had voted? Didn't you think it was suspicious that only 200,000 people had voted in a state with 24 million registered voters? Didn't you think? At all?
